The following is a mini interview of generic questions that we posed to all bands that wanted to answer:
Seven Story Fall
We're SEVEN STORY FALL from Atlanta, GA. We recently released our new EP titled "The Getaway" that was recorded w/ famed gold record producers Zack Odom & Kenneth Mount (Cartel, Mayday Parade, Jimmy Eat World). You can stream the first 2 singles off the EP on our myspace (http://www.myspace.com/sevenstoryfallrock) right now. Some of our other accomplishments include getting Atlanta spots on the 2007 Vans Warped Tour, and the 2008 Rockstar Taste of Chaos Tour.

1. How did you get your band name?
We first came up with our band name a week for our first show. It was something we could all agree on, so it just stuck!
2. How did this band get started?
We started in '05 when the majority of us were 15. Our parents would drive us to practice and we would just mess around and have fun. However once we turned 16 and were able to drive, we started taking things seriously and began our attempt in making music our career.
3. What bands are you influenced by?
We all have our individual influence, but as a band we're really influenced by bands who are more concerned with having a career rather than creating something that sells for the moment. We really like Story of the Year, Anberlin, Saosin, Yellowcard, and many more.
4. If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would it be and why?
We'd definitely love to tour with Story of the Year. We started really getting into this band when we first started playing together and we've watched them ever since their first major label release. It'd be great to tour with a band like Story of the Year that we really look up to.
5. If you were a furry, what animal would you be? Why that animal?
DEFINITELY a rabbit. So we could sneak in the Playboy Mansion. ;)
6. Why should people listen to your band?
Our music is REAL. We write songs filled with nothing but passion. So many artists now have songs about lollipops, gummi bears, furry boots, etc. Our songs represent real-life stories/situations that we have all been through. Aside from this, we try to make the actual music side of things different too. We all like punchy heavier stuff (like Story of the Year, Saosin), but we're huge fans of great pop-punk records (like All Time Low, Mayday Parade). It seems now that most bands play either straight pop-punk, or metal...so we really tried to combine both of these sounds in our latest EP titled "The Getaway". There are parts where the guitars and drums come smashing into the song, then there are parts where we have smooth soothing vocals over a simple drum and bass rhythm. I guess we simply want to combine the best of both worlds.
7. If you were chosen to be in Guitar Hero/Rock Band, what song would you want in the game? How hard do you think it would be to five-star on expert?
Definitely our new song titled "Don't Say". I honestly think it would be pretty hard. When we write songs, we write them so that when it's the 50th time playing the song live we don't get bored...however we MAKE SURE we don't have parts where something is going on just to "show off" some of our talent. Our main concern is writing GOOD SONGS...having cool parts comes next.
8. If you won a Grammy, who would you thank?
We would thank all of our family, our producers Zack Odom & Kenneth Mount, God for even giving us the opportunity to be born in America and have the chance to play Rock music, and our fans for allowing us to have a career in the music industry.
9. If you could change something about the music industry, what would it be?
Hmmm...this is tough. Illegal downloading has hurt, but also helped the music industry. It helps bands like us get our names out, but then it takes away money from every artist and makes it harder for them to tour. I think I wouldn't mess with this...but instead, I would change what's played on radio. Some of the WORST songs I've ever heard are played on the radio and it straight up pisses me off. It sucks knowing that some artists are millionaires when they don't even write their own songs and have producers who make up everything, suck at singing and constantly use auto-tune the ENTIRE song, and have records about stupid subjects with no passion at all. Then while this is going on, people like us are making REAL music about REAL situations...and we are struggling.
10. Memorable tour experience?
Playing the 2008 Taste of Chaos Tour in Atlanta, GA w/ Bullet For My Valentine, Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, and Blessthefall. Most of us were only 18 and we got to play a 13,000 seat arena in our hometown. Dream come true?
11. What does AP.net mean to you?
AP.net is a great place to keep up with whats going on in the industry. We read it EVERYDAY (even Christmas!) to see what it happening in our so called "warped tour" scene. It's kind of like how you watch the news on TV to see what's going on in your state/country...AP.net is the same thing for us and the music business.
12. What is your favorite song to play?
Our newest single "Don't Say".
13. What is your vacation spot of choice?
We love going to Florida and Las Vegas. Those 2 have to be our favorite.
14. What music reminds you of your childhood?
For me, personally, Yellowcard's CD "Ocean Avenue". When I was 14 and just starting to take my instrument seriously, I would come home from middle school each day and play the whole CD all the way through. I loved it. That CD really got me into music.
15. If you could have any super power, what would it be? Why?
Hmmm...I would really like to fly and have a big ol' cape. That'd be cool. Something like Superman.
16. Do you feel that your band has "made it"?
No. And honestly, I don't ever think I'll feel that way. I've noticed that no matter what we accomplish, I'm never satisfied and I constantly have a drive to do more. I guess this is a good thing, but at the same time I get really down sometimes and feel like a failure. When I look back at 2 years ago, we've accomplished so many things that I would just dream of...but I still feel that there is tons of ground to be covered.
17. What is something that most fans don't know about you?
We're pretty smart dudes. We seem like complete goobers sometimes, but we all made good grades in high school and are pretty educated on the music business.
18. What's your favorite holiday?
Christmas.
19. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I wish we had spare time...Haha.
20. What kind of hidden talents do you have?
We have a bunch of ninjas in our band. David (guitar/vocals) is a 3rd degree blackbelt in karate. Mike (lead vocals) is a 2nd degree blackbelt in karate. Justin took Mixed Martial Arts (Muay Thai and Brazilian Jui-Jitsu) for a few years.
