his voice has a shitload of reverb on it.
i kinda like the demo better, but it isn't bad.
pretty much catchy as fuck.

I think his vocals sound better on the demo.

Yeah, I think I liked the demo version better. His voice just sounded more...interesting, I guess.

i love william's voice, but i really just can't stand shaant's for some reason. just something about it that makes me kinda cringe. sorry if that sounded too mean, i couldn't find a nicer word for "cringe". the music itself is catchy.

I am in love with Matt Squire. But something about this song just sounds off... thier other new song "curse of curves" or something... sounds alot better musically.

Wow, even as a CIWWAF fan I've got to agree, I like the demo better than this version. But it's amazing how much William's voice is maturing! I dont know if I'm more excited for Cute Is What We Aim For's debut, or the new The Academy Is... disc.
It's going to be a good summer for releses.

Wow is this terrible. You would thinkt hat for having to hire someone to write for them, they would do better than this. And has this kid even hit puberty yet?
Sadly, 12-14 year olds will eat this crap up.

this song reminds me so much of the sloppy meateaters ...
haha
i love how the counter melody at the end totally clashes with the main vocals.

AHH, this band annoys me for some reason. I'm not really sure why though...
i think this is a step up from the demo for 2 reasons
1. drums on the demo were all over the place, makes you wanna cut the drummers legs off. if you have the demo, listen to this and compare it and you'll hear 3/4 less bass drum
2. I think shaant sounds a lot better. a lot more shape to his vox in this than in the demos
i think this version sounds better, but they are still a mediocre band, and thats being generous

I've been a fan of this band since day one. When they recorded with Shep he did a good job with this song. The drums do sound better on this. I wish everything else was left the same. They cut a part of the song out which they should of left in.
william: .. so find what I found. This is
shaant: party without the peple...
that part ruined the whole song. Shaant should of sang it through the whole time, maybe with william doing some backing vocals.
The only part that was added to make the song sound better was the "whatcha got now" over the chorus the last time.

i agree, i like his voice on the demo alot better only because there was more character it...i felt the guitars in the mix were too low for me. im pretty sure this isnt the final, either way it sounds good and its a very catchy song, the bass line deff hooks me

It's insane how many plays these guys get. I saw these guys live on the Punchline tour and they were horrible. They really need to pull their live show together. I saw some of their set at Bamboozle from a distance and it sounded the same to me. Maybe they'll get it together live better. I must admit that curse of curves song is very catchy though.

the demo is so much better.
ugh.
i hope their whole album isn't super-slick like that-curse of curves is good, hopefully the rest of their album ended up more like that.

The demo sounds better to all of us because I think thats the sound we are used to hearing. I always say the demo is better when I hear it before a studio version, for example, i hated the studio version of Cartel's "Honestly", and the redone Hit The Lights songs... In my opinion, its all about what your used to hearing, and when you hear something different and polished with a studio and effects, its always going to sound weird at first.
Hahaha. You suck, idiot.
you are a disgusting tool. go end yourself

wrong i dont like this version because it doesnt sound as good. has nothing to do with the fact that its not what im used to "hearing". same with the Hit the Lights. sometimes when songs are "studio'ized" they come out sounding worse. It seems like Shaant is putting way too much effort into the way he sounds and its not sounding any better.

I like ciwwaf but I really dont like this song.
It just doesnt sound good and Williams vocals are so out of place.
Im excited for new TAI though. William sounds kinda bored on this song...

hmm I don't think that's the reason.. I just got to know the song in it's old version and I think it really is better, from an neutral point of view.. I don't really know why, it just sounded.. less artificial, more personal..

i just think its funny how a lot of us have said who the particular audience will be that 'eats up this band' cause when i was listening to the song on purevolume, i happened to see that one of their comments was from an overenthused, SUPER EXCITED LYK WHOA!!1! 15 year old who was looking forward to seeing the band play for her 16th birthday. so yeah, our age range seems to be about right...
william should have sang the whole song
but i still like this version better

Definitely like the vocals on the demo better. The Curse of Curves definitely sounds a lot better, so I am hoping the rest of the CD went more in that direction. The one time I saw Cute as a full band live they were great, but that was also when Chris Flury was still playing guitar with them. I don't know. I will definitely get this CD because it is catchy and fun, sometimes you just want to listen to that kind of stuff.

ugh. demo was better.
sup, over-production?
and he's attacking the vocals way too hard... whatever. i'm sure if i bought it and listened to it i'd get used to it (an unlikely scenario). i mean his voice in general is pretty annoying but people get used to that enough to get past it and like the songs... or maybe just don't notice, ha
