I don't think these threads are a bad thing - it's good for people to point out what they especially like about a band. Often it's something that the OP never noticed while listening to the artist.

I find that the threads are enjoyable to read - it's interesting to see what aspect of a band appeals to people the most

Don't misunderstand me, I feel the same. After revisiting it a week ago, I really only enjoy a good handful of the songs. A -> B Life still remains to be my favorite.

Really? I love that album, but Catch for Us the Foxes and Brother, Sister are brilliant. I feel as though they're at their best when they combine elements of indie and post hardcore.

I really felt their best was when they hacked at the post-hardcore. It was a pretty innovative album for the time it came out.

In fact, at the time he released Mount Eerie it wasn't uncommon in indie circles to believe he was the greatest artist currently making music. Besides, I like Phil Elverum more than Briewer. That's why Briewer is always upset.
