View Full Version : Most anticipated
What hip-hop records are still to come in 2006?
here's everything I could think of
Kanye West- Graduation (tenitive December 2006)
Obie Trice-"Second Rounds On Me" (9th is helping produce it)
The Roots- Game Theory
Nas
Lupe Fiasco -Food & Liquor
The Game -The Doctor's Advocate
Jay-z/Nas collabo
Busta Rhymes -The Big Bang
Ludacris -Release Therapy
Rjd2- Magnificent Instrumentals
Jay Dee- J. Dilla's The Shining
Dr. Dre - Detox (??)
Outkast-Idlewild (I assume 10 the hard way got pushed back to '07)
Common is in the studio

Talib Kweli and Mos Def are putting out another Blackstar record, so that's my pick. If Kanye can squeeze Graduation into '06, that would be great.

The album I'm most looking foward to is the second CD from Deltron 3030. I assume its coming out late this year cuz Kid Koala has finished the turntable parts of it, but I'm not positive when.

Unless its done already I think its 07. I read that he just did 3 tracks with Hi Tek for Reflection Eternal's next record and I think thats gonna take a long time. If it does come out, I will be there buying it on day 1. I just actually purchased Black Star today and its my favorite hip hop album not done by the Roots ever.
I'm looking forward to The Roots-Game Theory, more than anything else.

New Nas could be good, although nothing tops Illmatic.
i'm loving lupe fiasco's single "kick push". reminds me of what rap used to be. can't wait to hear the rest of the album. and of course any new outkast always tops my most anticipated list.

See My thoughts on that is. Illmatic is a classic, hands down. I still think Nas can put out an album as good or better than illmatic. PLUS there are rumored Collaborations with Rakim in the work. I would Shit my Pants

Lupe Is one of the best Lyricists I've heard in a while. The Leaked Version of Food And Liquor is brilliant, i just can't wait for the full version where it's completely finished plus you have the tracks with Jay-Z and Pharell.
