I've just posted a new review for Keasbey Nights, as performed by Streetlight Manifesto (http://www.streetlightmanifesto.com), right here (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?p=3334770). I am well aware that some will criticize me for writing what will be regarded as the "worst review ever", but I have acknowledged the words in which I place my agreement.

I guess I do not understand the point of this?

The point of the record itself, or the point of me writing this review?

Well, more the review.

Well, more the review.
Allow me to explain myself:
In the past few weeks alone, i've seen a handful of reviews that are doing nothing than comparing this album to its original form. However, I personally do not think that this is a fit way to create an overview of this album at all. The reason this re-recording was created will do nothing but confuse people, among other things (which are found in the review). I'm tired of seeing people put this record down due to it being produced better the original. I'm tired of seeing people say this album should never have been made. I'm tired of seeing people say that Streetlight Manifesto did nothing but waste their time while re-making this album. I think the review speaks for itself. Primarily, though, I hope people pay attention to the second from last "paragraph":
"Please enjoy this for what it is."
I'm not sure if you own the album or not, but a good majority of what appears in that review also appears inside the booklet for the record. From the moment I laid my eyes on those words, I felt that I had just read the perfect review of what this record is. Personally, I don't think any other review should say anything different, and I decided to transfer those words from the albums packaging to the internet in hopes that those who have not purchased the album, or do not plan to for whatever their reasons may be, at least have the chance to read the bands outlook on this creation.
Does that make any sense? :)

That speech at the end of 1234 1234 explains why the record was made, in the best possible way it can be explained. However, I personally don't feel that explanation is even necessary. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the band speaking the truth about it, but there wasn't a chance in hell this record was made for a wrong reason. I honestly believe that it isn't right to compare the album to its original form. If you look at it as a new record, from a new band, it makes a world of difference.
But, again, that's just me.
