The pain felt most strongly on autumn evenings
like this, there's something about this time of the year
You were outraged when your mother left
to drink in that bar they closed down
The best medicine money can buy

And you called me, swerving down the street
That you were born on, and I wondered what was so wrong
After so many weeks of miscommunication
across time zones we can travel across
Without changing past or future events

I'm sure of it now
I love you
It's never been more clear

Than when you wrapped your arms around my waist
Sitting on the bed of a childhood friend we've both forgotten
Or when I smelled your hair in the black pine wood
And wished to god that he was real
Cause there had to be a reason for all of it

And through the changes of heart and mind you've had
That green ink stare never once took its sights of my heart
I won't be wrong about you again, I promise I have learned.
Dry gin doesn't taste the same as it used to,
My senses are no longer dulled and misplaced.

I'm sure of it now
I need you
It's not just the time of the year

Thoughts? Keep in mind this was somewhat a stream of consciousness that was the product of about 60 hours without sleep/several bong rips a couple hours prior.
