I will be interviewing Geoff from Thursday (http://www.absolutepunk.net/thursday) on Friday. Leave any questions you have in the comments.

PLEASE don't waste time with the typical questions, Paul. We've heard them answered 1000 times. Please try to take some suggestions and make this original, I'm dying to pick Geoff (and actually the whole band)'s mind.

Why do you say "K" to begin At This Velocity?

"Demo 5" didn't make ACBTLD.. any plans for that song?

Any plans to play Mass As Shadows, Evacuate, Ny Batteri, or Even The Sand live...ever?

Do you think the charity EP with ACBTLD track (with Converge, etc) will see a 2006 release? What charitable cause?

Starland Ballroom vs Stone Pony, which is more fun to play?]

Do you have any other musical talents (xylophone, guitar, ya know)?

Is Autumn Leaves Revisited connected to any older songs..specifically How Long Is The Night?

Who originally came up with the glockenspiel idea on Telegraph Avenue Kiss?

Have you or the band received feedback on the album from your peers (such as Thrice, Explosions In The Sky, Mewithoutyou, Poison The Well, etc)?

What songs would you say are "connected".. we already know from past interviews: Dying In NB/Sugar, Jet Black/Tomorrow, Counting/Running, Understanding/Other Side. Anything else fairly "connected"?

Why the name "Thursday", we know it's because you wanted a name that didn't hold you to a specific type of music.. but why Thursday? Any special significance?

It appears Running From The Rain will be the next single... true? If so, any video plans?

How do you feel about War All The Time's music video pretty much being non-rotational because of its "questionable content"? Elaborate on the story there?

What inspired Marches And Maneuvers, the song appears to be about abortion or a similar topic?

How has Andrew been holding up on these tours, since he's newest... was he in any bands prior.. how did you find his incredible talent?

What other New Jersey/New York bands should we keep an eye out for? What about nationwide? (I expect a Blackout Pact answer, haha)

Any plans for the video shot at CBGBs (Aug), Webster Hall (Fall), or Stone Pony (May)?

When/why did you want to become a singer... any experience with church choirs, commercials, or anything at all?

Any plans to get together with My Chemical Romance or Gerard Way for a track (as was mentioned on MTV a year ago)?

What's the story behind the 1999 Tour EP?

What's more of a pain in the ass: Turnpike or Parkway.... or Route 9? :P

How do you feel the Apple Store acoustic from the WATT-era turned out?

Any guest vocals/appearances on ACBTLD we may have missed (such as Jonah on WATT)?

What's the story with Running From The Rain being used in a Saturn commercial?

[more as I think]

I'd like to know his thoughts on the production of ACBTLD...was the whole production "sound" intentional?

Ask him why he thinks ACBTLD is the best record Thursday ever released.

No. PLEASE don't ask that.

He's answered that a hundred times on podcasts, other interviews, live shows.

It's because the finally wrote the album they wanted to, because they feel they captured their live sound, because they got to expand musically, because he finally got to say a lot of things about God and his friends and the train incidents... do a little searching, you'll see this answered a hundred times. If I get a little time I'll link you.

Don't ask this, either, please.

Another question already answered by him or the band--they wanted a raw sound that captured the essence of their live show. The production sound was very, very much intentional.. I'll link you, too, when I get a chance.

Contrary to some of the band's recent statements, the general consensus seems to be that Full Collapse is their most accomplished record; do the band feel they'll forever be writing under its shadow?

Given that sales of ACBTLD are down relative to first-week sales of WATT, do the band feel they're still relevant to the scene*?

*Whatever that is anymore.

Are those official titles of the two CBGB songs (which I got to hear live:P), or are those bootleg names...?

Great questions ACA!

I definetly want to know what the "k" sound is in the first second of 'At This Velocity'

I'd like to know why they decided to have Andrew become an offical member. I think he's just great.

I don't know if this would be too personal, but I'd like to know how he deals with his epilepsy on the road. I had juvenille epilepsy and it just sucked going to school, how does he deal with being on stage every night?

Yeah those are the CBGB tracks. I am unsure if those are the official names or not, but that's what everyone's been calling them. I wouldn't be surprised if they had different names seeing as how it is Thursday !

Good third question there.. especially since it was causing a lot of problems at the time of the WATT time. As far as Andrew, the band has said that they felt he brings a lot to the table and contributes to the sound they're trying to achieve and contributes positively to the song-writing process.

Just wondering how the side project with Cri (formerly in The Number 12 Looks Like You) and Daryl (Head Automatica). When we can expect a CD (if one is being made) maybe even a show.

I'm pretty sure that's just him saying "Ok" before the recording starts, and they left it on to give it more of a live feel.

What bands have you chosen to work on songs with and why?

Favorite tours, venues, and songs to play live

If an EP is released before the end of the year what is the idea track size?

Were there any songs that didn't make the record that is going to be released another way?

I also heard somewhere that the re release of 'waiting' was taken into consideration, is that true?

Favorite songs of all the time?

How do you write the lyrics, as you're practicing or off somewhere else?

Any other headlining tours in the future after warped tour, band ideas?

How did you chose the album name and why?

I'm not sure if everyone knows but 'At This Velocity' is about when Geoff was on a plane with Jason from Poison The Well and they thought they were going to die because the plane had a weird or emergency landing.

thanks.

It seemed like you guys had a lot of fun on the 13th in Toledo. (I'm the kid who came through that big line at the end of the show and had everyone sign my CD slips for Full Collapse, War All The Time, and A City By The Light Divided). Is it still as fun touring today, as it was when you released your last 2 discs? And even Waiting?

First of all id like to say ACA is the man and someone should send me his myspace link incase i ahve future questions about anything related to Thursday (or other bands for that matter) and my question is:

At the holiday show on Dec 26th in Atlantic City Geoff was talking about Songs that are about love and he said "yeah some bands today put out songs that think are about love, but if they were actually ever in love they would know not to write something similar to the songs they are writing" or somethign like that. Well im wondering what bands he was talking about *i was thinking Falloutboy* but im not sure who else so yeah that is my question and im sorry if i put that in a confusing manner.
