all of this fucking controversy over the da vinci code. it is supposed to be FICTION!! just like alot of books and movies that are supposed to be "based on true events" it is just sensationalized to make it more exciting and fun to watch. people are idiots if they believe all of this crap.
on that note, looks like it's getting alot of bad reviews... this movie better not disapoint me

Yeah. Walk the Line was mediocre at best. The acting was the only positive thing about the movie.

Sure, but I still thought it was a great movie worthy of a "Fresh" rating on Rotten Tomatos (2.5 stars or more)

yes it is supposed to be, the problem is that dan brown makes it a point to say that the facts in his book are true, when in fact many are either not true, or his rationale is very hazy.
I've actually read all of his books. He struck gold by writing about something so controversial with da vinci code. Overall i think he is an average writer. Angels and Demons was my favorite of his books but the end got too stupid and unbelievable. I just finished deception point this morning, very predictable.

And the fact that it's about the amazing Johnny Cash... He's an extremely influential icon, but in my opinion, his life wasn't interesting enough to be made into a movie.

I agree with you here. Considering Joaquin didn't know how to sing or play guitar, he did a great job prepping for this role.

Reese Witherspoon was fucking horrible. She was no where near a best actress nominee for that role.
That movie is so fucking overrated anyways...

I love Johnny Cash, he's one of my favorite artists, but what did you expect - it's a fucking MOVIE. I'd so much rather have them sing the parts themselves than have some retarded lip sync overdub shit. If you take that much offense to it, then you shouldn't have even seen it.

lip syncing would have been better than the half assed job witherspoon did.

walk the line thread?
and yeah, i'm sick of hearing about the da vinci code too, and everyone reading it and thinking they are a scholar. the theology is wrong, the history is wrong, the art history is wrong, and the descriptions of the locale are wrong too. dan brown hit a nerve by writing about religion and he put a statement at the front saying that all of the organizations and whatnot are true, even though the priory of sion does not exist, and was made up in the 50s.
and the guy can't write.

I didn't think she was that bad. I enjoyed the movie, as did a vast majority of critics and I have respect for people that put their asses on the line like that instead of taking the easy way out. You're just like my roommate, except he refuses to even see the movie because he's an elitist fuck like that. You should have done the same thing.

fuck the da vinci code, everyone should go see see no evil.
i guarantee it will be hilarious. i might eventually see the da vinci code, but i don't care about it enough to see it opening weekend [i already know jesus is a fictional character, and i don't care]
the book was the second worst book i have ever read.
People are dumb and dont understand that realistic fiction can use real world items and events and base fiction off of it.
The movie is currently 08% at http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/da_vinci_code/
My sister was able to rent the game for free at her work. My bro and i started playign it for shits and giggles. It is seriously bad. You know a movie tie in game is gonna be awful when the starts wont allow their voices or let alone likenesses.

People are pissed first off b/c he tries to portray the book as fact and second b/c they feel that dan brown is trying to make a mockery of the Catholic religion.
If he just presented the book as a work of fiction there wouldn't be so much hoopla over this movie.
But instead he has to be a jackass and try to present his stolen ideas as fact.

Angels and Demons was my favorite of his books but the end got too stupid and unbelievable. i agree with that. that book was so much fun to read until he got too carried away at the end. he should of left that last twist out. i also think this book would make into a better movie. so much more action/gore in it.
