1.Hit The Lights- This is a stick up.. dont make it a murder
2. Punchline- 37 everywhere
3. Run Kid Run- This is who we are
4.Transition- Get there
5. Saves The Day- Sound The Alarm

it will most likely change once ciwwaf comes out as well as the new tsl. this is what has impressed me. run kid run really grew on me. saves the day was very medicore, i thought hit the lights was wicked, transition was very fun, punchline was great.

Is that considered pop-punk? If it is, it's number one for me.

Hit the Lights is decent, but never really grasped my attention the way I thought it would.

I haven't really been overly impressed by any pop release so far this year. But what I heard of the new Dropping Daylight record when I saw them a couple times last weekend makes me already say it's going to be my record of the year.

I don't think ROTY is pop-punk. It's one of my favorite albums this year though.

I'd put Southcott at number one.

While I did like Saves The Day, there's no doubt in my mind that the loved ones is indeed the best poppunk record of the year so far... unless of course we're counting The Larry Arms' new release as pop-punk.

If you consider Saves The Day, pop punk, which obviously a lot of you do, they win best pop punk album hands down so far.

Hit The Lights is the biggest NFG rip off ever, their style is out played, they are just a mess..

Also if you consider Rock Kills Kid Pop Punk, they've put out a good.

Forgive Durden is pretty good...but major releases so far (Punchline, HTL, etc) have all been overally weak to me.

The Sherwood EP is awesome, and the best stuff is yet to come really.

Dropping Daylight (excellent), new GAD (apparently amazing, even better than Volcano), Waking Ashland EP (is good too).

Then there is also the new Hush Sound, The Format, This Day and Age, etc...I think the summer will be when this year really picks up. And I think their is new New Found Glory in September

The fall will possibly also see new Acceptance (though it sounds like early 07), maybe some TAI...who knows.

+ southcott - flee the scene
this on the other hand, has not been forgettable

I generally second all of that.
Especially Dropping Daylight... I know I said this earlier, but that record is absolutely amazing.

It's not really pop-punk. Pop-punk is like New Found Glory/Punchline/Hit the Lights... snotty, fast paced, catchy, and a little poppier than actual punk. I'd put Taking Back Sunday in the rock category.

yeah, it belongs on that list...it's a fairly solid release, but it suffers the same plague that alot of pop-punk releases in the last year have...they've been forgettable.

Honestly, I always skipped My Blue Heaven, but now I only really listen to the opening 3-4 songs and maybe another here and there.

Top 5 so far...maybe, but probably not

Yeah, I can see that, but if we put GAD, etc into this category, we also should probably put TBS in as well, because they have a very similiar formula as the pop-punk bands

Saves Tge Day is the best pop punk album so far.
That's been officially released...maybe. But of the stuff that has leaked/been heard, it might not even be top 5.

GAD, Dropping Daylight, and Sherwood are all better than it to me so far...and The Format may be (dunno, haven't heard it yet),

so far...yep

Though, I think it's going to have a rough go with all the albums over the summer.

I know Dropping Daylight is up there with it...and the new GAD, to me, will probably be better
