alright so i want some bands that sound like a day to remember (the heavier side of them...not like four year strong.)

and escape the fate.

i know all of the "related" artists that last.fm and music sites say are like escape the fate.. not like...chiodos, a skylit drive, blessthefall, alesana..because they really don't sound that similar. (well new BTF a little bit does but that's besides the point lol)

bands that actually have similar qualities...i guess stuff like there's no sympathy for the dead...or this war is ours (guillotine 2).

bands that aren't like all popular that everyone knows them!

but to be more specific:

bands that have singing and screaming, CHORUSES, not totally random structure, and still heavy..hopefully breakdowns as well.

I only know one song by the two bands combined, "Situations" by ETF...

Based on that, I'd assume we're talkign abotu upbeat rock bands with melodic hardcore, punk, and emo leanings.

If that's the case, try some Boy Sets Fire, old school emo straight out of the 90's HC scene. Some of it is quite hardcore in style and some tracks are not at all... tons of fervor, great lyrics... unfortunately they broke up a few years back :(

na i'm actually 16. i made this account like a while back and for some odd reason said i was born in 1980 haha.

but yeah, i checked out Boy Sets Fire, it was really interesting, the song Empire was good!

know of any of their hardcore songs with possible screaming? they seem like they would be sweet for like that true emo screaming type thing!

i don't know how dated Boy Sets Fire are in today's music landscape, but their cd "After the Eulogy" was monumental for me.

if the first track does not do it for you...you might not be alive

After the Eulogy is good... The Day the Sun Went Out is better... In Chrysallis EP is best :)

Hey dude, you might like my band! We're melodic, yet really heavy. We don't have clean vocals, but we do have some cool breakdowns. Check us out! www.myspace.com/coupdegracefl

and every other shitty band that sounds like the ones mentioned in this thread

boysetsfire is absolutely legit, I'm not sure you would like them though, as they don't sound ANYTHING like the bands mentioned in this thread.
