View Full Version : VINYL! ~ Jack's Mannequin - Everything In Transit

All right boys and girls, so after bragging for years that I have a copy of "Everything In Transit" on vinyl and being obnoxiously noncommital about selling it, I'm officially throwing a price tag onto the thing.
Why? Because I'm going to propose to my girlfriend and I need the cash for her engagement ring. Whoooo boy.
I thought about doing the "PM me an offer" thing here, but decided to just go ahead and go with an eBay listing. You can find that here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230388129006
If you see that no one's bid, however, feel free to PM me an offer and I'll consider it. I'm really trying to work my way toward getting her the ring she deserves, though, so I deserve a little wiggle room if I think I have something pretty valuable on my hands. The record is like new in fantastic shape; it's been played a few times but the quality is as good as when I bought it. I'll ship to anywhere as quickly and as safely as you feel like paying for. I'm happy to answer any questions, be they about this or the proposal.
Also feel free to check out my tradelist at DeadFormat (http://www.deadformat.net/tradelist/CaryGrant) and let me know if any of you want to buy anything I have here. Now that I'm looking to get married, records have become less of a priority. I'll probably post a journal about this too, but that's the extent of my spamming, I promise. Thanks so much for helping me create an incredibly cheesy proposal.
Good luck :-) I'd buy this if I had some spare cash, but I'm sure someone around here would probably pay at least $65 for it.

I would love to have this but I won't be willing to spend what it ends at, good luck though/

I want this so badly. Good luck selling it although I'm sure you won't have too much trouble, as every one I've ever seen on eBay has gone for $100-200 +

Haha, has anyone proposed through AP.net before? And I doubt she would; she's a pitchfork kind of girl.

Hey I'd buy As Tall As Lions' s/t in a second. I sold that myself a while back and I regret it.
Let me know! I'll PM you too.

I'm actually pretty down to sell the Vacant Andys record, but it's one of the few copies on blue (got it from an ex-Fiddler Records employee) so I paid a lot and the ballpark is pretty high. Feel free to PM me if you're interested, but I paid like $100 so I'd want + / - that.

Wow, that may be a little out of my range. I actually just picked up the test press of it on ebay for $20.
How about the JEW split? It's one of the last vinyl releases by them that I need to finish my collection.

Ah, sorry, just got it. I'd be down to sell Eisley but I have no clue how much for; waiting for that one dude's eBay to finish I guess? Haha.
Oh, and update: Will people actually want to see pictures of the ring or is that a bit vainglorious of me?

Unless you're talking to someone else about Eisley, I think you're looking at the wrong message. I've not gotten into them much, and am not too interested in buying Eisley stuff at the moment. I did ask about plenty of other bands, though.
I don't think that'd be vainglorious. I'd like to see it.

Wow, the record is currently going for over $250. I just want to say thanks to you guys--this completely covers the rest of the money I needed for the ring.
If any of you AP.net members are the highest bidder, PM me and I'll throw in a free 7".

Haha, yeah--and I bought it at Amoeba in Berkeley for $20 new, too. Thanks a lot--I'm glad the sale will be making a few people happy.
