Honda Civic Tour

I recently went ans saw the Honda Civic tour in Dayton Ohio at the Hara arena. IT SUCKED ass. It might not have been so bad if it wasn't for Good Charlotte. I just want to say FUCK G.C. they are not punk all they are is a bunch of **** in a little tennie bopper boy band. Less Than Jake Rocked out and that was the entire highlight of the evening.

its just so depressing to me that these bands are playing in fucking arenas now. i mean, jesus. leave the damn arenas to britney and justin. why in the hell would someone wanna go see a band in an arena and pay their life's savings when they can go to a great venue like the emerson theater in indy and be in the very front row withOUT barricades?!?!?!?!
oh wait, i know why...because these are the same people who were at the nsync arena concerts not too long ago.....

i didn't go, but i'm pretty sure nfg headlines every show on the tour the set should go like this
1.Good Charlotte comes out and each member gets acid dumped on them
2.MXPX/TheMovielife/or whoever come out and rock out and get an extra 15 minutes to play on the rets of th tour since GC gets killed off
3.Less Than Jake shares co-headlining with NFG and they play a 45 minute - 1 hour set full of laughter and fun ska music
4.NFG closes the night with their energetic live show that never needed pyrotechnics or any of that crap to get everyone pumped up, just good music, unlike GC who would need fireworks to come out of their ass to mildly entertain a true good music fan

I went to it two days ago and every band did such a great performance but G.C fucking suck.......... I just stood down stairs and hung out with Never Heard Of It guys since they were with them...

I was at the show in Dayton and I had a blast during Less Than Jake. It was my 2nd time seeing GC and I was pretty disappointed myself. NFG was great as well, even for the 3rd time seeing 'em... Oh well it's just about going to a show that thrills me. My hoo-rah in life.

I dunno how all you guys can be so anti GC and pro NFG... I mean they are basically the same. I listen to both once in a while just for the hell of it.

But for those of you who are all anti-sellout, anti-teeny-bopper, anti-pop... then you should be just as anti-NFG as you are anti-GC.

i have question for ya "emo" did you go to the civic tour? If your answer is no than how can u set there and say shit. If you saw good charlotte it concert then NFG right after you would excatly what we are talking about. GC was like a fucking boy band and if u did indeed see them you what i am talking about. Although in some respects i have lost a lot of respect for NFG as well.

wow you all are a bunch of assholes, i mean like why the fuck did you go to the concert, cuz i mean were u surprised that GC sounded like that, or that there were a lot of younger fans there, i mean it wasn't a big fucking surprise to me. and if you paid $30 just so that you could have the right to complain about shit then u really are a tool. either way two things need to be said, first of all i don't care who you are, if you were given the chance to switch places with benji or joel or anyone on that tour you would in a heart beat, and second, GC is a great fucking band. just cuz they have a lot of fans and play big arenas like that doesn't mean they suck! they worked their balls off to get to this point, and what they're doing is a great thing for punk music in general. so fuck all of you haters, true punks don't complain about shit, if you don't like the music then don't go, and if you do then go and make the best of it, and plus who cares if younger people go to the shows, it's better there then a DMX show or some shit. peace and love! chris

aww man...listen to yourself. i dont understand how anyone can expect anything else from nfg and gc... who cares if the person was at the show or not...i wasnt there but i totally agree with what was said...both bands played at warped tour last year- and it was the same damn thing. and i cant even imagine how it was if gc was any cockier than they were before. i consider them both boy bands now. i had to stand through the nfg set last year at warped tour to get a good spot for alkaline trio...and as much as i looooove ak3, it almost wasnt worth it. it was the most ANNOYING shit i had ever had to endure. i dont understand how one who can find gc so obnoxious could not think the same thing about nfg. *confused*

honestly guys i don't get it, how can you all say that your punk fans but that you HATE the bands who are like inspirations to almost any punk band out there. it's like loving all of this rap crap that's out there now and saying that you HATE NWA or Run DMC, i just don't get it, but whatever i mean NFG is doing what they love and doing it well, and you all are just making fun of them on a stupid punk forum, i guess they got the last laugh

you can not compare nfg to nwa or run dmc. exactly who has nfg posed as an inspiration for? i mean i'm not saying they havent been an inspiration for bands, but look at who those bands probably are. there hasnt been very much GOOD pop punk since they became popular. i dont HATE nfg...but i dont respect them either. and they havent even been around long enough to be an inspiration. i still didnt like them years ago when a few of my friends did and the majority of people didnt even know who they were. however thanks to mtv's pop punk explosion, they got lucky and got the got the coverage and deals that i honestly dont think they're good enough to deserve. look at most of the punk bands that ARE inspirations and are musically talented and sing about more shit than just high school (especially because most guys from those bands have been out of high school since before most of their fans even knew what punk rock was)....those bands are not splattered all over mtv and most of them did not even need mtv to make them popular. and i dont get how they get the last laugh out of us making fun of them on a "stupid punk forum" because you are no different by praising them on this "stupid punk forum".

alright so those are some good points, but im still gonna argue with you. to say that they don't "deserve it" is pretty much crap, because they've been working hard for more that 5 years for what they have right now, so they deserve it as much as anyone else deserves it. also i mean they're nice ppl, i mean they don't act like asshole celebrities or anything, they're just normal guys, so i mean they haven't really let fame go to their head. and they have had a tremendous influence on the new class of punk bands out there, to say that they haven't is just disrespect to them. they haven't sold out, they haven't changed what they do to sell more records, they can't help that they're on MTV now, the only thing they can do is to keep doin it like they did back in coral springs. i don't really wanna argue about this anymore cuz it's stupid, my orginal point was not that everyone is a cock for not loving NFG or GC or any other band, but just that all of these negative comments that people are saying about them are totally uncalled for. peace and love...chris

Working hard for more than 5 years!!! holy shit thats amazing, how about bands like less than lake who have been around for 10 years, or the bouncing souls who have been around for 15 years, who i can gaurentee have worked harder than almost any band out there.

They cant help that theyre on MTV? oh hell yes they can, its their choice to sign to a major label and its their choice to have videos on mtv and its their choice to have their own show on mtv.

let's get some things straight. less than jake was AMAZING. new found glory was AMAZING. but good charlotte was horrible. that was the first show i'd seen them play since there new album came out and it was the worst show ever. there were all these little girls and the band dressed like a bunch of chimpanzees on crack. joel was wearing biker gloves...wtf? i hate this band. dont support this band. they have all the fans they need...jus not the kind a real band wants. fuck GC

oh yeah never heard of it is awesome. i got to chill with them after the show. they rock...they gave out some free stuff and were chillin w/ anyone who came by. good charlotte needs a little lesson from NHOI.
