Wrote this way back when but figured I'd post. Not too sure where it came from, Im' not a sad guy but at this time I was.

I watch as the stars fade
Get ripped from the sky while the moon lies
Hidden beneath the clouds
Blocked from view

Far too long I've tried to hide
The feelings deep inside
This impending doom is taking over my mind
My thoughts are becoming cloudy
Losing my wit as I'm losing my smile
The joy is leaving while the sun runs away
The moon, hidden beneath the clouds aches for a glimpse

I'm dying to know what's beyond the hills
At the bottom, do I go up?
At the bottom, do I hold tight?
Suffice it to say, I'm lost
Barely above water, losing the fight with the tide

I get tired of the struggle yet my pride won't give up
At the top, do I stay?
At the top, do I just run away?
From here, no one knows
Alas the never ending gloom is creeping back
Persistent like a thief,
Won't give up until the last big score
