Will it be any good?

I love his stand up and am going to Baltimore in two weeks to see him, but I don't know if this will work as a television show.

Mark it zero smokey. I won't be watching it either. In fact, I'll probably change the channel if it's accidentally on.

I don't agree. I think Tosh despite his show being pretty bad is very funny, Demetri Martin's show isn't bad and is a great comedian and Michael Ian Black and Showalter are both good comedians and i think their show is probably one of the better shows on Comedy central.
However Dunham is completely overrated.

Can't stand him. I just can't get used to the whole vantriliquist *terrible spelling* comedy. It actually disgust's me lol

Black and Showalter, and Tosh are all mediocre at best but still get a couple laughs.
I'll stick with my It's always Sunny gang, for now.

Tosh.0 is great. what the fuck are you talking about?

As for Jeff Dunham, he's not getting any funnier and ventriliquism won't make a good show.

his "comedy" is terrible and the only people i know that like him are old. most of his puppets are just racial stereotypes and none of them are funny.

You've basically hit the nail on the head here. My parents are direct evidence to your findings.

I saw him one or two years ago and you could tell he was hammered when he first walked on stage, and sobered up as the show went on. Apparently getting drunk before a show is his "thing."

I probably won't watch the show, but I know tons of people who think he's hysterical, so I can see it doing well.

Well I've never been a big fan of shows with people standing in front of a green screen (i.e. the Soup) and I don't find most of the videos particularly funny, I mean tosh said it himself that the best viral videos have denied the rights to be on the show. Also I don't like any of the segments (web redemption, breakdown). So that's what I am talking about.

I was hoping this show would be cancelled by now.

i agree with you 100%. that show is not funny and he really isn't funny anymore either. he's just really cocky now, and it's annoying.

Being really cocky is part of his act...you really should watch more of his comedy.

His dolls are racist, in poor taste, and not funny.

Holy fuck.

I first reported on Monday that I was hearing whispers that Comedy Central might not be renewing The Jeff Dunham Show, the ventriloquist’s clunky sitcom that had Dunham and his puppets heckling “real people” in the “real world.” And now I’m hearing that, despite what Comedy Central told me, Dunham’s writing staff found out a week ago that the show wasn’t getting picked up after its season finale aired Dec. 10.

It could very well turn out that Dunham himself would rather go about his rather lucrative business with the fans in person than spend time on a second TV season dealing with critics who don’t seem to like him very much at all… After all, he grossed $38 million just in ticket sales last year, plus millions more in merchandise sales.
