Very well written review, you know your shit about rap and hip hop, but I personally can't stand T.I.

The claim that he is superior to Common is a bold one. I personally disagree, but hey man its just an opinion.

Hey thanks a lot man. It really means a lot to me when people tell me they like my reviews; it makes me feel very sexy.

As to your Common concern, I wasn't implying that T.I. is the better rapper but rather that he is more impressive on the track on King. However, I will say that I was more impressed with KIng than I was with Be... and I loved Be. I'm really not sure where I stand on the whole "who's better" issue though. It'd take a long bit of time for me to figure out an adequate stance haha.

King is a fucking badass record but i have to say it is good not because of T.I. but all of the producers that did work for him like just blaze.

his actual rapping skills are very limited and his lyrics are all together subpar. but the cd is filled with quality tracks and i find myself listening to it much more than i had imagined.

good review though. im glad you did this album.

The bottom line is this: UGK is incredible, but T.I. outshines them on their mutual track in my opinion. That's all I was saying with that reference.

I think it's pretty clear this site has moved beyond simply PUNK RAWK, and that's what keeps most of us coming back. I personally love this site and community for it.

Don't be so afraid of something a little different.

Good review, and don't stop doing this.

Yeah keep doing hip-hop reviews. At the FYE I work at I have to set up the "Urban" end cap and sometimes I have a difficult time doing it. I actually have a "death row" haha...
Anyway, keep it and do the new Cam'ron!

allow me to answer this (although I suppose it has been answered by now)

Rap is the most underappreciated genre in music. Listen to the music before you blast it.

Besides Jason even wrote in his interview that he wishes he could change this websites name. Its focus has shifted from the initial pop punk phase he was in to a look at music as a whole. I would advise you to go somewhere else, like the Victory records website (because you seem like the weak minded idiotic sort) for news.

All he did was ask why there was a rap review on AP.net. Does that automatically mean he listens to Aiden or something?

completely off-subject....but is Mos Def ever going to record another album? He's definitely my favorite hip hop artist, but it seems like all he's focused on right now is acting.

Killa Season is most likely gonna be my next review. I'm looking for any other good rap and I'm open to suggestions as to what I should work on.
