That was a good interview. Wow, people on this website are mean. I love Hawthorne Heights and I don't care who knows it.

They are a decent band when their cd's come out, but I get sick of them very easily because they're so repetitive.

The user questions were entertaining, but AP.net was lobbing them questions like FOX News interviewing a Republican who's under fire in the public eye. That was painful to read.

I enjoyed that interview. I really don't like Hawthorne Heights at all, but I respect them as people for this interview. I think someone should have asked about his lyrics, or about Victory's porno though.
That was painful to read.
that was rather painful to read. for all the flak that these guys catch you would think they would come up with witty responses to atleast make them look cool. they dont seem like they are the brightest dudes on the block.
its pretty annoying to watch a hh commecial on fuse every break, i wish victory would invest their resources into a more, um.. talented band.. like bayside

What did you want asked that wasn't?
“How do you sleep at night knowing the fact that you have raped everyone’s ears by making two of the most rushed and untalented and aligned records ever produced?"
“Why do you continue writing such god awful music on your latest release without changing anything?”
“How come every time the guitarist screams, the sound of a dying duck is heard instead?”
What more do you want?

I don't care what anyone says, I like the new album. I think it's obvious they realize they're not Radiohead or The Mars Volta and aren't doing anything crazy original and groundbreaking, but I also realize that and for certain moods I find the new record fun and enjoyable.

i dont like this band but i gotta admit that this is a pretty good interview!
“How come every time the guitarist screams, the sound of a dying duck is heard instead?"
Solid.
I don't like HH, but I'm glad they answered that.. I can see a band like Coheed kicking you in the family jewels if you asked that.

Thank you. I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels that way.

"Matt: No animals were harmed in the creation of that scream"
Ha!
That interview was awesome. I like some HH stuff, but the interviews always rule. Cool, respectable dudes.

Eron: There are these people who are up front and act like they’re too cool for you, but they’re just waiting there for Fall Out Boy.
That's a fight on my block.
I'm guessing they don't have witty responses because it seems like over half of them are married and they are over 21 years old. It'd be way more sad if they stooped down to the level of the sixteen year-old children insulting them and fought back

they dont have a problem stooping down to the level of 16 year old music though

Re-read that. the user questions were entertaining, and all those were user questions (Not to mention they were all so over-the-top ridiculous, there's no way the band could have come up with an answer of substance.) The AP.Net (You, i guess) questions were the equivalent of giving the band a foot massage and telling them how cool they are. The actual "interview" questions were boring and just served to stroke the band's ego.

I would have liked to see some "creative criticism" type questions that users may have submitted, or if there truly wasn't anything better than the ones that were asked, pose some yourself. I've read some great interviews from you before, but going into an interview with a band that is so widely maligned, some harder questions would have been in order. Specifically, maybe asking whether they see it as a fair trade-off to have so little respect in the music community, but still manage to sell a ton of records and be all over MTV. The triple guitar question was on the right track, but should have gone on to creatively criticize and point out that they simply do not execute the triple guitar attack properly, and have they noticed how cluttered their music sounds when listening to it

They don't care about being respected - they said "There are people who will ask that question, and that’s cool and everything, but we play for the people who have come up to us personally crying and said “I was gonna kill myself two weeks ago but I heard your songs and I had to come to your show and tell you that you really meant something to me.”" That's all that matters to them.
They know their "triple guitar attack" isn't some weird, crazy shit that all the indie snobs are gonna love, it's there to help make their live show sound stronger so that when the other two guitarists are doing harmonies and stuff, it's not just harmonies and a bass guitar, because that would sound weak as hell; all JT plays are the root chords.
I'm guessing they don't have witty responses because it seems like over half of them are married and they are over 21 years old. It'd be way more sad if they stooped down to the level of the sixteen year-old children insulting them and fought back
i dont think it has anything to do with them being married or over 21, i dont personally know them but that interview just makes them seem as if they arent very bright. i think my 14 year old sister could have come up with some better answers.

I have no qualms in saying that I bought the reissue of The Silence In Black and White..I enjoy their music, simple as that. I'm not going to deny my ears what it enjoys (which is a lot more than stuff like HH if you think I'm just some stupid emo douche) simply because it's cool to hate on them.
