View Full Version : Stuck on the same look...

So I was talking to my current gf and I guess she went over to my mom's house the other night when my mom brought up the conversation about how my current girl looks just like my ex, who looks just like my other ex... And it's sorta true, since I went after my ex because she looked like my (then just) ex. Ever since I heard that, I'm like wtf am I doing this? Blonde, lil extra weight, but D's. It's sorta ruined it for me now hearing this, so I'm thinking I should just end it since it's only three months in now (And I'm 1000 mi away til December).
tldr: is it a good/bad idea to date people who look just like your ex.

on the other hand being like hey I'm breaking up with you since you resemble my ex is sure to end up with you being slapped or getting something thrown at you

I don't think it really matters, as long as you don't call her any of your ex's names.

it's better to date girls w/ the same name than with the same look.

It's weird. So you can't get over your ex?

Pretty sure it doesn't matter. I usually go for guys with the same exact look, but they're wildly different people. I just get attracted to them first because of how they look, and once I get to know them I find out they're different people. That was horrible fucking redundant, holy fuck.
If you DO break up with her because of how she looks...well, that's just a dick move right there.

don't break up with her over it. that's kinda fucked up. oh and tell your mom to stfu - that was highly inappropriate of her to mention to the current gf. seriously, that's what i'd be pissed about.

I think everyone has a type, and maybe you're just attracted to blonde and busty.
Nothing wrong with that, as long as you don't confuse the names and clarify to the girlfriend that she really is the 'best thing to ever happen to you' until the next one comes along.
Also, haha never break up with her for reasons of your ex, as long as you keep a good reputation around the girls then there shouldn't be any problem.

My comment was more if I like blondes who are 5 ft and wear flip-flops all the time and I simply ignore personality all the time, that would make me shallow if I didn't take personality at all. No guy can honestly say looks don't matter, they're just lieing.

It's not wrong to be attracted to a certain types as long as you're being realistic. You can't really help it if you're drawn to them for a certain traits. Whatever you do please don't break up with her just because she looks like your ex. That's just mean.

Yeah I was really ticked off when I heard that... my mom's kinda a bitch and that was definitely one of the biggest wtf things she's done (there's tons though).
And all three girls, while with the same look, have each had much different personalities, so it's not like an exact thing or whatever.

What are the odds of your girlfriends have the same cup size?
If you like this girl for different reasons, then keep on dating her. And maybe that's just your type.

It's funny, I kind of have the same issue. I don't really think I have a specific type I go for, but I always end up with short, petite, brunettes with green or brown eyes. Idk, just always seems to happen that way.

If you like her, why bother dumping her? You'll only go for another busty blonde afterwards anyway.
Everyone has a type. Unless these girls are all triplets you never knew about who cares.

There's obviously a difference between everyone, so I don't see the big deal. And obviously you just have a type.

10/19/09, 11:10 AM
Everyone's got a type man. I am a petite blonde man myself. Personality though should be just as important. Is this girl a right for you? Do you share similar interests/outlooks/quirks? You comfortable around each other? What are your difference and are they okay with you? Do you have as much fun together as you like? Are you happy with her and can you see her with you a decade from now?
