A) It takes a lot of talent for a male over about 20 to sing that high, that effectively, and that much.
B) You certainly seem to have done a lot of research just to come on ap.net and flame the guy. I am both a Saosin fan and a Circa Survive fan and was unaware of the exact number of songs recorded by the band at his time of membership.
C) I do not smoke weed or do any drugs for that matter, and I am still capable of seeing the talent in Anthony Green, Circa Survive, and early Saosin. It doesn't take drugs, it takes not being a moron.
D) BOZO is an overrated clown you dipshit, Anthony Green is but an awesome musician.

I don't know. Just my opinion.

Give TDAG another listen. To me, Deja is my favorite album by them, but I can't say that their two succeeding albums (TDAG & Daisy) are "just noise." Keep in mind that I'm not saying Deja is empty or anything. In my opinion, it was their biggest transition (and they have some pretty big transitions), from the high school break up issues of YFW to the deeper issues such as Lacey's grandfather's lung cancer, eventually to songs like limousine.

I'm not 100% sure but I think Jesse said that the great thing about Brand New is that they keep reinventing themselves so it's like listening to a new band every time. You can't expect Brand New to continue to make music that sounds too similar to Deja, that would just be boring.

You Stole is a good song on Daisy, definitely up there on my favorites, but try appreciating the rest of Daisy for what it's supposed to be (not saying that I know exactly what it is meant to be), as opposed to comparing it to Deja.

In what way was he a total dick? Self congratulatory? Stuck up? I dunno, sorry for the 5th degree 'n all, I just find it interesting. I don't think he feels he's the greatest vocalist ever though, I listened to an alternative press podcast with him , and he was saying that anyone is as good or better than him. Not trying to bash your friends at all, but people judge dudes in bands WAAAAAAY too harshly. For example, I saw My Chem a few years back and met Frank after the show. Obviously there were a ton of stupidly demanding people to get through to, he was tired, and people were screaming the worst things in his direction (OMG YOUR SO HAWT FUCK MEEEE!), and he kinda rushed through the motions before leaving. He was pretty gracious about everything, but when he started to refuse pictures, people went apeshit. I heard a couple girls talking after the show calling him bigheaded, and I couldn't help but think,"Woah, how would any other normal person act in a high-stress environment like that?"

I dunno. I don't think that people should judge others when the only time they've met them is in that type of situation. Maybe Green's a dick, maybe he isn't, but I sure as hell know that the average fan doesn't know him well enough to really determine that.

Give TDAG another listen. To me, Deja is my favorite album by them, but I can't say that their two succeeding albums (TDAG & Daisy) are "just noise." Keep in mind that I'm not saying Deja is empty or anything. In my opinion, it was their biggest transition (and they have some pretty big transitions), from the high school break up issues of YFW to the deeper issues such as Lacey's grandfather's lung cancer, eventually to songs like limousine.

I'm not 100% sure but I think Jesse said that the great thing about Brand New is that they keep reinventing themselves so it's like listening to a new band every time. You can't expect Brand New to continue to make music that sounds too similar to Deja, that would just be boring.

You Stole is a good song on Daisy, definitely up there on my favorites, but try appreciating the rest of Daisy for what it's supposed to be (not saying that I know exactly what it is meant to be), as opposed to comparing it to Deja.

I don't think the majority of people harping on AG have any idea what being a front man is all about. His vocals are very unique and passionate. His lyrics are 9/10. That is debateable and probably subjective..obviously if you dont understand what he is talking about, it will repel you (just like people who dont understand jazz music, it bores them.) Regardless of your position on his obvious talents, the guy is always backed by awesome musicians. That doesnt happen with talentless shmucks. Being the front man is a position of directing and very similar to the conducter of an orchestra. A band will not deal with a front man who can not match or surpass their own music understanding, and vice versa..a talented front man will not make music with musicians who can't understand or appreciate his level of musical knowledge.

Why do people make threads to complain about an artist's music? I mean, you don't have to listen to it if you don't want to. There's also nothing forcing you to read a news post, or another type of thread with his name involved. Granted, I'm not a huge fan of Anthony Green. I think he's a pretty good songwriter, and his work on Saosin's first EP, and the first CS record are more than favorable in my book, but couldn't you spend your time praising something that's good, rather than trying to tear an artist down?
