What's the best one to use with Logic Pro, also how do you set the metronome to change tempo's automatically at certain points in a song?

I just use the built-in metronome in Logic. To automate the tempo during a song, click on the arrow next to Global Track at the top of the arrangement window, then click to drop down the tempo track. You can add markers and change the tempo at any time.

As awesome a program as Cubase is, the only problem I've come up with is the way it handles time signature changes. I wrote a song that switches between 6/8 and 2/4 all the time (two measures of 6/8, one of 2/4, for every phrase). Every single time I had to create a separate marker for a time signature change. There's no way to copy and paste a repeated change over and over. This is annoying, because it was going to be quite a long song, and I hadn't finished writing it, since I wanted to experiment in the software. As is stands, I still haven't made a song out of the several parts, even though I think it could be a pretty sweet one.

Also, to give it the actual 6/8 feel, which you usually count as "1 2 1 2" (and treat each of those "beats" like a triplet) I had to make it two measures of 3/4, otherwise it just counted it like it was 6 beats in an eight beat measure, which was impossible to play to.
You'd think programs as big as this would get their shit together when it comes to facilitating time signature changes.

I'm pretty sure I would just record this as 4/4...

I could make it three measures of 2/4, but then I'd have to change the tempo every same amount of measures... which would be infinitely more difficult. I don't even know how I would convert that into tempo changes. 6/8 and 2/4 aren't even close to the same.
It would be extremely awkward and hard to play it and count as two measures of 4/4. Trust me, I tried.
The song definitely plays like a two measures 6/8, one 2/4 song. That's what it is. It's not uncommon to write music that way in sheet music, so why can't they have an option to do it more easily?
