A few weeks ago, I let you all know that I was going to be interviewing The Blood Brothers (http://www.thebloodbrothers.com/). After some some delays, I have gotten a hold of Mark Gadjahar, the drummer. He will be willing to answer any of your questions concerning either of his bands (if you didn't know he's in Neon Blonde (http://www.dimmak.com/neonblonde/) too). Also Mark has started his own label called Go Midnight (http://www.myspace.com/gomidnight), so ask him about that! Feel free to ask about any of these things and leave your qustions in the replies. Thanks!

What's his favorite city to play in?
how has being on shows like Jimmy Kimmel affected their status as a band?
When is Neon Blonde going on tour?
What do they have against Warped Tour?
What is he listening to?
Whats his most anticipated album this year? Besides his own.

i love the gajadhar brothers.

ask him how he feels about having his brother (rudy) in the music scene too, thriving with gatsbys? gotta be some brotherly love there.

I always thought a great tour would be a Blood Brothers, Gatsby's and Rocky Votalato tour, and have the headliners actually be a set by Waxwing. That would be very interesting and extremely exciting.

that would be so cool.

But that would never happen. (feeble attempt at some reverse psychology)

Hey you guys I handed you a short film my friends and I made at a show earlier this year in Seattle. Crimes was the opening song played over the opening sequence and really made the movie. I was just wondering if you guys ever got around to watch it?
Thanks alot for the song and all the music.

do you feel safe knowing that you're a shitty excuse for a hardcore band and that tight clothes and songs about knifes make you look like fuck-tards?

The Blood Brothers are so different and chaotic, yet it's not uncommon for a person who likes...say Fall Out Boy...to be a fan (which, I guess, includes myself. I like everything). Does the fact that people who're into mainstream music can still get into your music bother you or do you welcome those fans with open arms?

Speaking of mainstream music, what bands are popular in your van? It's so hard to pinpoint any one influence in your music, but who would you say created the blueprint for what you do? Favorite artists?

What was it like doing shows with Coheed and Cambria, who are super popular with kids and different as far as popular bands in the scene go, but surely not as outside of the box as you guys or the other two openers, Dredg and Mewithoutyou? Did the kids react well to you guys or do you think you're better off on your own tours?

I had the chance to see you last year in Cleveland with The Plot to Blow Up the Eiffle Tower and Big Business. It was an amazing show and a great experience. You guys seemed to play non-stop without any drop in the energy level. Do you guys exercise? And as a singer myself, I'm interested in knowing if Jordan or Johnny do any kind of vocal warm-ups? It baffles my mind that they can do that with their voices night after night and still sound exactly as they do on your albums.

...says the kid from Eugene, where they don't allow music.

How did you end up starting a record label?
What would someone with no experience in the music industry do if they wanted to get involved with a record label?
What would you suggest is a cheap buy on recording equipment for say...making your own band on your computer?

are you looking for a certain genre of music to be on your label?
who has been your favorite band to tour with and why?

Waxwing is the cover story on the new Wonkavision magazine, everyone should pick it up, good mag

but it says that they are finished right on the cover

how much effort do you intend to put into your new record label? is it just a pet project that you will get around to when you're not doing blood brothers or neon blonde stuff, or are you going to set aside time to work with it?

i want to know how much johnny whitney's old side project, Soiled Doves, which was around in 2000-1 had an impact on Neon Blonde. Some of the song names are eerily similar (e.g. "Black Cactus Choir" (SD) and "Black Cactus Killer" (NB). I know Mark has to know at least a decent amount about this band, so I'd really appreciate it if you'd ask.

I put this question down last time you guys interviewed the blood brothers and you didn't include it, so please do this time if you can.

THANX

in case you don't know what i'm talking about with SOILED DOVES, check this link:

i think it warrants asking about.

I'm sure he's just upset because he lost his states nuclear power plant this weekend. Too bad he wasn't inside when it imploded. And yes, a Blood Brothers, Gatsby's, and Rocky show would be totally killer. There is some more brotherly love besides the Gajadhar brothers, you have the Votolato's in there too with Cody, Rocky and even Sonny. Rocky and Cody tore it up with Waxwings farewell show. But my question would be, when do the blood brothers plan on touring again and how and who comes up with the artwork for your albums and album covers. Or as Sean Connery would say on celebrity jeopardy "A bum cover..."

thanks

hold on, I've got another one:

Why do your fans care more about the clothes they wear than the music they listen too? And what kind of hardcore bands sells purses at their merch table?

That was kind of a twofer, I guess.
