I've posted a quick message from Vinnie of Less Than Jake (http://www.absolutepunk.net/lessthanjake) regarding the band's new full-length, In With The Out Crowd. The record hits stores today.
Our new record "in with the out crowd" comes out on MAY 23rd, and I'm not going to overhype you or give you the usual band speeches on how this record is the blah blah blah but I will tell you that in october me and my four best friends went into a North Hollywood studio with Howard Benson and recorded for 18 days songs that we wrote in bedrooms, buses, and wharehouses over a year or so's time. We put our passion and frustration and every ounce of sweat we had in the songs that came out, and we want you to hear it. After being in a band for so long each record is a snapshot of who the band is right at that moment of when they wrote and recorded it and right now here's the picture of who we are.. Kids- we present you "in with the out crowd".Thanks for the support, the critisims, the email, the adds, the comments and thanks for listening. See you on warped tour.

ill never ever stop loving this band as long as i live. i can't wait to be 90 years old and skanking around my living room with my walker to every song on Hello Rockview, seeing as how that album is a fucking master piece. this one is good too, and i will definitely be purchasing it today.

these guys have no reason to still be putting out albums like this. anthem was bad enough. you know this is not the less than jake that put out hello rockview. i loved that less than jake.
disagree if you must, but thats just my opinion.

No band does or should stay the same and continue to put out the same album over and over. Natural progression is a good thing, and it's exactly what Less Than Jake has done. They still write high quality songs.

I thought that their last amazing album was Losing Streak.
With that in mind...I loved Anthem as it showed signs of the ska coming back. Whatever the case, saying that was a bad cd is wrong. That was one of their better ones. Bands change a lot, shit happen. I still have a lot of respect for this band, so maybe one of these days I'll buy this album for the sake of supporting some rad dudes who made my early teenage years a fucking awesome.
I love LTJ to death BUT ... I definitely think that they need to make
more skanking songs!
BTW, how many songs make heavy use of their horn section?
If there are at least 5, I'll buy it.

I really wish this album was good. I loved all their albums prior to this. Even "Anthem." But this is not good. It's a sad day when Less Than Jake collaborates with professional songwriters and releases a bad album.

Ahem, that's grammar Mr. "Grammer Nazi." Speaking of Hitler, this is sort of the equivolent of Hitler initiating genocide programs to preserve a race that he incorrectly labeled as "Aryan."

Nobody in this thread said they wanted another Hello Rockview/Losing Streak... what is want are albums that are equal in quality to those, and this shitstain doesn't come close.

no, i want a band that played ska punk to progress naturally, not in a forced manner.
