I figured they wouldn't. I don't see a reason to, honestly. They're going for the "Wii60" angle, since Wii will probably be pretty cheap, and then the PS3 will be oobs expensivo.

Its been said in many 'spectualtions' and 'rumors' that it will see a price cut at the PS3 luanch. I had thought it was confirmed, but I guess Microsoft is still saying they arent doing it.

this is also MAY and the launch of PS3 is months away. microsoft definitely has something up its sleeve.

yeah i meant to combat sony. believe me either halo 3 will come out or some other blockbuster game, or they will drop the price.

no shit. when has a console ever droped it's price within a year of it's released? anyone that was counting on this was delousional (sp??) $399 for a premium is a very good price considering what you're getting, in my opinion.

They shouldn't have to drop the price, they're losing enough money as it is. I feel it's a great value though, and compared to Sony's price, I think it'll stay a contender, or in the lead when it comes to the new generation of systems.
