these guys are great people as well

but I wish they'd go back to TFSOP sound
I know band's have to progress in sound and style, but this seems more like comforming then progressing

TFSOP is one of my favorites as well.. I love shanobi vs dragon. I don't think I spelt that right.

Despite how everyone hates this band, I can't wait for the CD. They've released two of my favorite CD"s ever, one of my favorite songs ever (thefakesoundofprogress is an amazing song), and I can't wait for the album. This song isn't as strong as the rest of the discography, but I'm sure the album will be good. There are a lot worse bands than these guys.

So, to get this straight, you just said you hate them because they're bigger than you right? lol.

As for the whole 'they're more put together than backstreet boys or paramore' shit, erm...actualy they all come from a town near here called pontypridd. A home is a home, but these guys really broke through a confine of whats considered a 'trap' area (i.e: 'grow up here, live here, die here' kinda of place), so kudos to these guys fro breaking out of that. They grew up wanting something more, and have gotten that. To call them manufactured is the same as calling band after band sellouts jsut because they became successful.

Lost prophets have always maintained that 'we make the music we wanna make, and if everyone else likes it, its a bonus', and to this day, they're still doing that, hell, i bet they lost a hge bundle of fans when they released this. But then, they gained some new ones.
Lost Prophets willl be around for a good while to come, so get used to it. 3rd album, and still going strong.
They're amazingly nice guys, and the world seems to agree that they write good music too (going by album sales).
So yeah....befoire you let your mouth run away with insults, ask yourself this:
'Do i really have NOTHING else to do in my life but post a huge rant which tells people im obviously not mentally able to figure out the difference between american idol and an actual band?'.

I didn't know much about this band until I saw them at GIAN. I was there both days and Lostprophets blew everybody out of the water by a mile. And, if you don't believe me, I'm sure there are reviews of the performances at GIAN somewhere on the web. As for the new single, it's only 1 song on a CD. The other new stuff they played at GIAN was completely different so I think it's safe to say that the new album will have some variety. If you get a chance to see them live, take it; because these guys deliver.

Oh, and ditto on Ilan. Still not used to seeing him behind a new band, but he brings it no matter who he's playing for.
