Not always. If you're near one of the blasts, yes. If not, then you'll either slowly die from radiation poisoning, cancer, or starvation.

I am of the opinion that my weapon of choice in a zombie apocalypse would be a large broadsword. There would be nothing more badass that swinging that thing at zombies, impaling them, kicking them back off the blade, spinning around and chopping the head off the one behind you...

A shotgun or other gun you'd just run out of ammo and you're toast. You die with this "oh shit" look on your face. With the sword you die in a flash of glory. You never have that "oh shit" moment, you just keep hacking until you can't hack anymore.

I thought of it in terms of 'Do I wanna live Fallout or Left 4 Dead?' I chose Left 4 Dead. (which I'm not saying is a better game, I just think it would be more fun to run around saying I hate shit with a shotgun.)

But aliens would probably be much harder to kill which would shorten of time of survival after the envision happened. Zombies would be eaiser to kill and thus survival would last longer and be more fun.

Yeah asteroid would be the most instant/painless so I'm gonna go with that one. Also depending on how much the government/media is on top of it, you could potentially have a "one week to live" situation, with which you could tie up loose ends and do some of the shit you were holding back on
