Hernandez has been terrible this year, and wasn't that great last year either.

That said, it gives them an established 4th starter who does have upside, and all they had to give up was their worst player.

We got a decent starter for a shitty reliever. Julio has been useless this year, and at least we finally have a regular starter now.

probably a good move for both sides. The two were horrendous for their respected teams and both have good k/bb ratios. Julio makes Arizona even stronger in the pen and Hernandez gives NY another starter.

although, by trading hernandez, they did take a step towards making their rotation better. just because they don't have those beach balls he's been throwing in their rotation.
