Kelly Clarkson

I'd like to hear some opinions of her...since they tend to be varied on this site.

I've always felt, that for a pop act (thus why, lyrically, she;s weaker) she's one of the best our their currently. Like, I always thought Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, etc had great voices, but that their songs never truly matched their voices, they were just a vehicle for them to show off their range, etc.

What I really liked about Kelly, and what makes her latest album so successful, is that every song (and the first what, like 5 songs are singles) is solid throughout because she doesn't try to over-step where her voice and music match (if that makes sense)

plus shes not arrogant or fake. shes real and she can actually sing.

What was crazy to me is that her first single was song #1, her second single was song #2, etc through now 5 singles, it might even be 6. It's the sign of a solid album

american idol bs aside, the girl can sing. her first album sounds like any of the female contestants would've been given the same set of songs if they'd won, but i rather enjoy her latest effort.

i don't really get what you said about mariah & celine, but i loved mariah until she turned into a skank & stopped actually singing.

I don't agree at all. Ashlee Simpson's whole personality is fake, plus she can't really sing I don't think, her TV show proves this. I think Kelly is genuine, I have yet to find a reason to dislike her.

I like Kelly Clarkson mainly because she is one of the few pop artists who made it on singing talent rather than image (although she is pretty damn hot).
