Here's some more Hidden In Plain View (www.hiddeninplainview.com) recording information: The band will be heading into Salad Days Studio with Brian Mcternan (Circa Survive, Moneen, Thrice) from June 19th- August 10th. Josh Wilbur (who mixed the band's last album, Life In Dreaming) will be mixing this album. The band plans to have 11 tracks plus two or three b-sides. They're aiming for a late fall release date.
I like the sound of this.

so bands are trying to have extra songs? i think i would rather buy a 13-14 song cd rather than an 11 and get two b-sides later.

I really liked "Life in Dreaming," but i just don't listen to it any more. Great live show too.

That seems like a long time to record. Does that include pre production? My relative records pro-quality albums in two weeks.

I feel you but by the time the Album comes out it will be prob about 18 months since LID was released, that is a good chunk of time.

Yeah, aren't they still on DTR? I'm surprised it took until the second page for someone to make a comment like this.

It's only been a year and 3 months...most bands take 2-3 years to release a new album.

Hmmmm, seems like it's been a lot longer than 15 months
They aren't a bad band at all, as generic as they may or may not be.

life in dreaming was a huge surprise for me last year. im really excited to hear this. i do find it odd though about the fact they "plan" to have 2 or 3 b-sides...how about you plan on making a badass 13-14 song album. sounds a shit load better for your fans .

This is going to be a great album, but there's no way they can pull it off by late fall. After finishing recording they'll need at least 3-4 months to sort out artwork, mixing and all that jazz, so early 07 at best.
I don't get the whole b-side thing either. They didn't even release one of the two from the last album, so chances are we won't be hearing the next album's either. Same with Halifax, they got what... 3 b-sides for the new album (yet again they put 13 songs on their record).

maybe they just can't release more songs on album than 11, i don't know, i am just glad that they will release those b-sides, not just keep it. :-)
mixing and artwork don't really have to take that much time, it depends, so i still hope for fall; spitalfield released stop doing bad thing month after life in dreaming and they will probably have new cd in october, maybe november (we'll see).
and isn't hot 'n' sexy one of those b-sides from life in dreaming? i didn't know that they had one more recorded, hopefully they would get it somewhere someday.

About the b-side thing, it's my understanding that bands are supposed to have extra tracks for the import versions like in the UK so maybe that's what they're talkinga bout.
