so i think this is like the last show i'm going to until Warped Tour. But it definately was one to end a two week run of shows of late.
The Joggers were really good, but they weren't without their con. Their guitar styles were awesome and were definately what caught me first, then the rythms, and was hooked. About 10 or 12 minutes into the set, some of the songs started reminding me of Franz Ferdinand, not that that's bad, it just that I was hooked then it faded, and then i was hooked by the last few songs, but all in all I think this is a band that everyone can get into.
The next band was Giant Drag, and no play on words, it kind of was. I wasn't really into it. She was cute, and it sounded good, but it didn't really...well...it was eh i guess. She did do this cool cover of that Chris Issak song. Yeah, you know which one i'm talking about.
I really like the Parish. I think it's a great place that bands like Pretty Girls Make Graves should play, nothing big, but good music. It's an intimate place, their awesome lighting, and just a great atmosphere. With that being said, the tone was set, but could the band pull it off? Yes, yes they did. They were great. They sounded good, some of their songs even sounded better live, and they just brought great energy. You can chalk this up to another good band to see live if you get the chance.
Also they were really pleased to see the number of people who came out, they even did an encore!
Setlist: (not in order, except for the encore)
Nocturnal House
Domino
Pyrite Pedestal

Something Bigger, Something Brighter

The New Romance
This Is Our Emergency
two other songs i couldn't remeber
encore:
Pictures Of A Night Scene

Speakers Push The Air
