For school we have to send a letter to an American, but it is only like pretend. Like the letter has to be exactly how it would be if we were sending it but we are not.
We have been told how to address a letter to the US, like how to set out the adress and everything, but I kinda was not listening and it is in for tomoroow.
I thought cause this place is full of americans, you guys would know best.
So how do you set out a letter in America?
Thanks for your help.

When I was studying in Scotland, this was my address:
Murray Hall 75 Collins Street
Room 2.23
Glasgow, G4 0NL
United Kingdom
There were different "area codes" for the city of Glasgow itself so not every address would have been "G4 0NL." I still don't know what it actually means.
It was a dorm, so with a home address the hall name/room number wouldn't be there.

In Britain we do it like this
Street name
Town
City
Post code
So for example it would be
123 Imagine Lane
Norton
Stockton-on-Tees
TS20 1SH
in italy, it's
name lastname/companyname
street name, building number
CAP (which is like a zip code) town (province)
and if you're sending a letter to italy from outside the country, you have to write 'ITALY' in the fourth line.
