Be Gone or Untitled?

Pretty good poll. They are both annoying and even frustrating to listen at times. Be Gone wins for me but that's not saying much. It's just slightly less annoying than Untitled.

I have a hard time with this because i'm sure "Be Gone" would be one of my favorites on the album if the vox weren't the way they are. But as it is, I just can't listen to it casually. "Unititled" will get a play from me now and then for being at least pleasant to listen to

Out of the two however it's Be Gone. There's not much to Untitled.

I'm a Brand New superfan but I can't do those songs. They're both interesting but not 'take up a spot on a record I've been anticipating' interesting.

I dig the guitar in Be Gone though.

what i was trying to say is, i tried deciphering untitled for days. with be gone, i just didn't care; the mysterious element was gone after the first listen and it just became this sort of interlude. even now, i'd listen to untitled and try to pick up what's being said. i even put it in reverse once to hear the "this never ends" theory.

I don't care enough to really know the lyrics to most songs really so this isn't much of a factor for me

i noticed that the guitar line in untitled, if it is guitar, resembles a backing vocal melody towards the end of limousine, the stuff jesse sings right before "i should be laughing right now" (don't know what the exact lyrics were). i always thought this was cool, to have the mostly instrumental interlude track share something with what seems to be the central song of the album (if, of course, the album is telling a story).

i don't know why exactly i quoted you... oh well.
