Anybody taking this beast of a test? I'm taking it Saturday. 8 hours of Engineering problem solving, sounds like a blast right?

Damn, no responses yet. But yeah, I'm taking it this Saturday and I am freaking out. I am not as prepared as I need to be and the stress is killing me. Am I all alone here or is anyone else taking it?

How did it go guys? I'm just now starting my senior year as an Civil Engineering major, so I will be taking it soon. Advice?

Do computer science majors usually take this? I don't want to....I'm almost positive I'd fail since I remember very little from Physics.

I don't think that they do. It is the first of two tests engineers take to officially be licensed as a professional engineer, the second being the PE.

I thought the FE was not too bad. (Took and passed mine in April 2007). Now, if you want to talk about a beast of an exam, let's talk the PE :P

I just took mine this Friday. I feel like I passed but I thought I would be much more confident coming out of it considering I studied for about 6 months :( What makes the PE a beast is really more of the time it takes to prepare and the cost of all the materials and registration etc. The FE is a hard exam but there isn't much you can do to study for it so I think that made it better. The PE you HAVE to make a lot of time to study for since it is open book and there are just so many things that can be asked.

And yes I know this is an old thread - I was looking to see if there were other engineers here.
