Bought this today and played it with Eda and another friend, so three total. SO fun. It's really awesome. There's so many things that throwback to old Mario games, and it's just super fun. Pretty easy at first, but I can tell it's getting harder. You can change the number of players between levels too, which is great. It reminds me of little big planet, but better, even if it is less puzzle-oriented.

I feel like watching videos of the gameplay won't even close to give you an idea of how fun it actually is to play. The only thing I think that would be cool is if there were at least a few parts where cooperation was necessary to get to some hidden place, but for now it seems like that's not the case. Only have gotten to the third world though.


This would definitely be fun with only one player, but just having everyone scramble around the screen is amazing. Some people might get annoyed by bumping into each other, but I think it just makes it that much more hilarious and fun.

Only gripe is that when someone dies, the screen pauses for a split-second (not a lag or anything, it's just what it does) and that can screw you up if you're in the middle of a jump or something.

I don't know man, I'm loving this game right now (if not solely for nostalgic reasons). It's pretty much an updated version of my favorite Mario game, which makes me extremely happy.

I am really excited to try multiplayer though.

Edit: I really like the control scheme with just the wii remote.

Just the Wii remote. I've read reviews that said it's the best way to play, so I'm probably not even going to try it with the nunchuk; playing with just the Wii remote feels natural.

Man, the game will be so much more fun when you play it with other people. We played it for 3 hours. :-d

So I originally had a Wii back in late 2006/ early 2007. As the story goes, I sold it and everything that went with it two years ago. This game makes me want it again, and I think for Christmas I will. If anyone has Mario Kart or anything, I demand to play you online when I get it. :)

Completed it last night. I got all the star coins. Some of them were insanely frustrating.

It's hard to be enthused with another 2D mario game, but I had a really good time.
