Will Palestinian terrorist ever allow for peace in the on going conflict in the middle east?

"The attack came hours after Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat accepted an Egyptian-brokered deal, allowing Abu Mazen to assume the post of Palestinian prime minister, a post he said he would not accept without clear powers."

Will this agreement help creat a democratic government in Palestine? Or will the arab nations in the ME do every thing they can to stop the new advancements in a non corrupt gov. and maybe peace with israel?

Does anyone else think this act showed what these terrorist groups really want, an end to Israel, not peace like they say.

Not even 12 hours following the agreement between Abu Mazen adn Arrafat which might lead to a non corrupt democratic government that might actually want to work with Israel, at least thats what they've said to western media, the Palestinian terrorist go out and bomb another israeli civilian site, destroying an chance that this new government might have to with Israel.

It really is wierd. All the peace-niks mourn and sob when a single person is either killed or hurt in Palestine and nobody cares when a suicide bomber, intent on killing all of the Israelis he or she can, blows themselves up, killing and wounding dozens.

Im not saying that the recent killing of the man in Palestine wasnt a tragedy by the way. He certainly was much braver then I am, and alot more devoted to his cause then me. The sniper should not have shot him, but it was a warzone. No matter what you say or believe about the matter, you have to know that that man who was shot knew exactly what the risks and dangers of being in that area was. When he got up to get the children, he knew exactly what the risks of leaving those children out there were, and the risks of going out there when there is a sniper on a roof nearby.

When a suicide bomber kills themselves, there is minimal public outcry. Protesters of the war and President Bush may mention the names of the people killed by the Israelis, but oddly, no mention of the people killed by the Palestinians? No mention of the fact that Israelis are killed over 4 times more than Palestinians? Why is that?

Palestinians started the war, Palestinians maintain the war, and people who want peace support Palestine. Sorry for swearing on the political forum but, What the Fuck?!

To call Palestine united in any way is rediculous. They obviously don't listen to their leaders, and I'm sure that a large portion of their population wants peace, however there are extremist groups that do unfortunately want an end to Isreal... kind of like extremist groups in Israel (aka their ruling party) want to turn palestine into a giant parking lot.

I agree that there are extremist on both sides, but everytime there is head way in a peaceful solution, Palestinain terrorist do something to cause it to fail.

Good point though.

Also i think palestinians do listen to there leaders. When there are calls for attacks by Arafat, they happen!

i would say that, in terms of the palestinian side of things, if there is a majority that wants peace, they should stand up and demand an end to the terrorist attacks, if they truley feel that they want peace, don't allow a couple of shit heads to ruin it for you. they are simply making things much worse for themselves and everyone else by letting the extremists run the show.

I personally think a large majority of them (palestinians) doesn't want peace, they've been brainwashed for years by arafat and all the other terrorists, and even by other arab nations that refuse to help them out with support unless its for weapons or bombs, and stuff to hurt israel.
They know no other way, but to hate israel.

its true.

If it was 40 years ago, perhaps... peace could be achieved if they had gotten their act together- in a very short amount of time...
Today we are in the 2nd - 3rd Generation since the formation of Israel.... They've been nearly conditioned to hate Israel.
In my School in kuwait -- there was a large population of Palestinians - they never said the word Israel. To them... Israel does not exist. Its Palastine.
They're moms and dads have put this in their minds- to hate Israel beyond all belief.
I had a lot of Palastinian friends in Kuwait- back when i was in 8th grade- then it came out that I had Jewish relatives. I lost all of them. They all hated me after that. Just those words made them hate me. In 9th grade when i was in MUN (Model United Nations) We could not talk about the Israel/Palastine conflict in my school- the headmaster (who was Kuwaiti) would not allow it. I mean... all the History text books in my school had blacked out chapters--- all about Israel- the wars they've had with the arab world... everything.
I find it TRUELY TRUELY scary when that happens.
They are attempting to rewrite history in the Arab World.
That is when evil brews- we saw it in Nazi Germany. In the Palastinian mind- Israel should not be... which is fine- but the hatred under it is sicking.
I'm not saying all Palastinians hate Israel. I hope for a peace someday- I always will...
But it was the 13 year old kids- who will be the future of the Arab world that scare me... those thoughts that they have expressed before my eyes are very frightening.
