"President" George W. Bush has declared the advent of “the first war of the Twenty-first Century,” which he predicts will be “a crusade.”
WoW. I can't believe he actually fucking said that. Honestly, some politicians are stupid, but my god that is about the worst thing he could have said to help middle east peace.
WoW.

Could you link to the entire speech? I'd like to see some context before I comment on it.

Fuck political correctness. For the past 20 years, we have only fought because of Islamic problems. Its time someone realized that....

i agree that they are probably a poor choice of words, but at the same time, no one is upset when islamic extremists call for a crusade to kill americans...it wasn't very politically correct to fly planes into buildings, but people would rather make a big deal over the presidents choice of words...

I saw it on the news
and there are so many things wrong with it I can't even begin to comment on them... a loss of separation of church and state, declaring a holy war (guess we aren't any better than those declaring a jihad against the US) etc. etc. etc.

I'm sooo not surprised that a comment like that came out of his mouth. The one thing that I feel so strongly about is the seperation of church and state, and then Bush comes in here with his faith-based policy shit, and talking about crusades. I definetly will not be voting for him.
