I'm going to say no. Not because you're not generic enough to make it, but because you all look like posers, and you can't help it. You don't have the swagger to make it work. You just look like a bunch of tools.

I think you guys should just stick to posing..er...acting, the end of the video was brillz, really pulled it all together for me.
seriously though..... the song needs to be a minute shorter and the only likable guy out of the bunch is the first black dude with glasses who sat at the table. push all of your best "lines" on him.
but hell, who are we kidding here....

I laughed my ass off. The dude around 2:09 had me rolling.
Honestly, the song is catchy enough for kids listening to modern hip hop to latch onto. In my opinion, the song was terrible but if you're trying to blow up, I guess you're doing the right thing.
I'm actually ashamed that these turds are from the bay area.
Let me be the first to say that Starting Six is the hottest new hip hop group.

im really ashamed ur from the bay u fuckin queer. your a part of the reason why the bay area has fallen off cause its too much hate too many people in the bay worry about the next man when they need to just worry about themselves. i asked a simple question hot or not? a simple "not" would suffice. fuck u. thanks for nothing

well I obviously didn't literally, that's impossible. I play the drums in a thrash/metal band right now, so I kinda do make music. it might not be that good, but at least it takes more talent than this. and why the hate? this thread was asking for an opinion, and I gave it. I didn't like it, so I made fun of it. that's about it.

what about u playing the drums in a weak ass metal band takes more talent than this? i did the ENTIRE production of the song.I made the beat in fruity loops. have you heard anything like this come out of fruity loops? I mixed and mastered it myself. I'm a self taught musician. i play piano and keyboard. I've taught my self pro tools inside and out. I learned how to do everything MYSELF. all my friends in the video are very successful students at ucla, uc davis, uc riverside and san diego state. their all students before rappers. all im saying is that i work hard. so u playing drums in a metal band isnt shit on the things i do. so f you have a nice day.

Honestly I thought this was bad but then again I don't listen to hip hop so I'm not a very good person to ask.
I just thought that it seemed rather generic and you didn't do anything musically/lyrically that I haven't seen in other hip hop songs and your video seemed to be made with an attitude of "what would a hip hop song video look like?" instead of "what do we want our video to say/look like?"
But other than being a bit generic I can't say that it was absolute garbage as long as I'm comparing it to other hip hop that I hear. Then again I have to reiterate that I'm not really a fan of hip hop so I don't have a broad knowledge base of the genre to compare it to.

you have no way of knowing if my band is 'weak ass' or not, personally i think we're alright, nothing new. as for the amount of musical talent it takes to use a fucking computer and make "music" with it, not too sure. i play the piano too, its not the hardest thing in the world, and i can do some keyboard parts on the synth at my school. and im glad to know that you guys are all great students, im a straight A junior in high school, but im pretty sure that you guys are only students, not rappers. I work just as hard as you, ive practiced every day for 3 years, and that takes more work than just learning how to use a program on the computer.

You guys need better rhymes. Flat out. Beat is actually not awful, and really, any rap group can survive even with the worst beats if they're saying something compelling. But you guys aren't. It's a tired topic, and there are plenty of groups who do the drunk-sex-club banger schtick way better. If you guys are from the Bay area, rap about the Bay area. Come up with some sweet punchlines. Tell me something original. As it stands, these lyrics are something pretty much any heterosexual man could've written. There's really not one impressive couplet on here. It's all pretty generic. There's no personality in any of the lyrics, and every great rapper ever has succeeded because of the persona he creates in his lyrics. Think Jay-Z, Nas, Tupac, Eminem, Wu-Tang Clan, Rakim, Ludacris, Lil Wayne, Oukast, Clipse. It's all about the character and the stories they tell.
Also: Third guy ("kinda fly white guy") has absolutely no flow. He can make up for that with good lyrics, but he does not. Needs less chorus, more verses with substance. If guys are trying to make it as a pop rap group, I could see this being popular. But wouldn't you rather do something good (and maybe less misogynistic)?
Really good looking video, though.
