I like how the label tries to twist it around and make it seem like a positive thing, there is nothing "super" about releasing four albums on the same day. If I were The Sleeping I'd be incredibly annoyed with the fact that my debut album is being lumped in with three other albums on it's release day- Debut's deserve special attention. Tony Brummel is always the guy to bash major labels' methods yet he mass produces bands and albums like a factory... it's absurd. Give your fucking bands the individual attention they deserve!
I somewhat agree but then again, he put out a press release about it. He is drawing more attention to the bands. I think all those bands styles are different enough to release on the same date. But who knows. I can see both sides of the argument.

The Great Compromise is the re-release of their very first CD ever put out. (It was origionally released on British Records). They added the entire CD, plus some really old acoustic songs, a remake of House Fire, and a DVD is included. Great Compromise is good. I have a copy from way back in the day.

Thanks for that info.
I know it was a re-release...
DVD's were never a big thing for me.
And I think I have at least one of those old acoustic songs still.
I might still pick it up.
P.S. Long time no see, good times back in that thread between me, you and Jason. Dunno if you remember that.

Yah its kind of a hint that you have too many bands on your label, when youre releasing four albums on one day.

Haha. I got three jobs keeping me busy. But I'm here. Threads will never be the same again. ;)

I prefer Compromise over Wide Eyed. Its more raw sounding.

I'll get TJV and The Forecast at least, I'll pick up the other 2 if I go to one of their shows and can buy it from the band.

To make the release day more cohesive, one band name should be changed to "The Silverstein"

the acoustic songs are definitely NOT old. there are some demos from wide eyed AND the great compromise, acoustics of "mad for medusa" and "everyone's got something they're running out of" both of which were recorded this spring and a song called "say goodnight" from the junior varsity's self-titled debut EP which has a different singer and features keyboard player nick dodson on the sax.
it's worth picking up.

Thanks, I was confused. I like the new stuff though. Not a bad band.
