Travis Barker (Blink 182 / Transplants / Plus 44) played drums for rapper TI on Jay Leno last night. Anyone catch that?

Haha, Josh Freese is very talented. Weird that he has been a touring member of both Good Charlotte and A Perfect Circle. Has anyone heard his solo work he used to do? I bought an EP of it one time. It's pretty damn funny. There's one song I remember about the Playboy Mansion. I think it's called "You Don't Believe Me." I'm not sure though.

Probably in front of...Barker has overtaken Freese I would venture to guess.

I kind of doubt it. Barker makes a lot of random tv appearances, but Freese still records drums for many different bands.

I saw Travis play drums for Bow Wow a while ago it was stupid he was just playing the high hats with a drum machine behind him it was unneccesary and probably a PR stunt like everything he does nowadays. I'm glad he did move up to a rapper with a little more cred cuz seriously Bow Wow? what the hell

at warped, the ex drummer for sugarcult was telling us that he was the studio drummer for GC's first album and they kind of kept it under wraps or something.

Josh Freese played on the second Good Charlotte album, as far as the first one I think it was the guy from Wakefield but who knows, studio recordings these day seem less honest. I've heard a story saying that the producer for the first hawthorne heights album used a studio drummer behind everyone's back. I don't know if it's true, but situations like that have happened before and Freese will admit to this practice existinge.

As far as Barker goes, I caught him on leno, but he was low in the mix in my opinion and he was just playing with the dj from what i could tell. I want to see his little project with DJ AM, the video's i've seen of it so far look cool. Barker will be one of the iconic drummers joing the ranks, of dave grohl, neil peart, john bonham, ect ect no doubt in my mind. Freese will be the known more for his insane amount of studio drumming and recording credits. His discography does laps around Barkers.

John Freese is now the permanent NIN drummer, Trent said he wants to keep the current line up together as long as possible, but then, you know what he's like.

Neat, I went and checked out that interview, I don't really have an opinion about hawthorne heights. I think the band that they reffered to in the interview was the one that told me about that whole thing. I would hate to be in their drummers shoes and have to constantly defend that it was me on the drums.

i think Travis Barker is by far the best drummer in this 'scene', and simply one of the best around anywhere today. when i listen to songs, i usually pay little or no attention to the drums. but i always do when it's travis, because it's always fucking awesome.
