That's why I don't go out in that sense. I don't go out looking for people. If I go out it's just to relax. However, I'm one of those guys who'd rather stay home and read/write/playmusic/watch a movie/tvshow. Most of the time I go out now is if I'm playing a gig or for friends birthdays. I do most of my introductions through friends at those types of things. Networking is much easier and safer. I won't date or even like someone unless I know them pretty well. And if they're friends with other friends of mine then it's a good way to get to know someone.

I really dislike guys who go partying to hook up. It's disgusting. One guy I used to know would hit on every girl in a pub and then when he struck out (which he would) he'd try to get us all to go to another one. If I'm going out, it's to catch up with friends. If I meet new ones, great.

I understand why people our age are so desperate to have someone but really, there's a crap load of people on this planet. That's why I don't go out in that sense. I don't go out looking for people. If I go out it's just to relax. However, I'm one of those guys who'd rather stay home and read/write/playmusic/watch a movie/tvshow. Most of the time I go out now is if I'm playing a gig or for friends birthdays. I do most of my introductions through friends at those types of things. Networking is much easier and safer. I won't date or even like someone unless I know them pretty well. And if they're friends with other friends of mine then it's a good way to get to know someone.

I really dislike guys who go partying to hook up. It's disgusting. One guy I used to know would hit on every girl in a pub and then when he struck out (which he would) he'd try to get us all to go to another one. If I'm going out, it's to catch up with friends. If I meet new ones, great.

I understand why people our age are so desperate to have someone but really, there's a crap load of people on this planet. Some you work with, some that are friends of friends and yet it's become a part of culture to go out and make a dick of yourself to find someone? It's pathetic and sad. And I hate to see what will happen in the future if this continues.

A nice girl is probably more likely to have bad anxiety than a mean one and I don't see how that would effect you at all. I have bad anxiety and take medication for it (not xanax though) and all it does is make me not want to die when I am in uncomfortable situations... Just saying. Secondly, if it's not too personal, are you on Lexapro? It's what I've been taking for the past year now. I've had anxiety my entire life but only got diagnosed a year ago and my life's starting to get back on the upside now. I was a mess, I don't know when you got diagnosed but as someone who had bad anxiety all the way through highschool/primaryschool, it was horrible. Thankfully I had friends who put up with the crazy things I used to do, the crazy highs and lows etc etc. But now things are ok :)
