blackpool lights is sweet.
I don't know, I was always disappointed after Something To Write Home About which is one of my favorite albums. Maybe I expected to much.

On a Wire was great, Overdue is possibly my favorite GUK song.

On A Wire was easily the second best TGUK release behind Something To Write Home About

Nobody likes Guilt Show, but seriously, out of all their albums, it is the most solid and the most consistent one. Everybody hates it and bashes on it, but that's just because nobody wanted them to sound "polished." The vocals, bass, drums and guitar parts are all dead-on and catchy as hell. I personally think it's home to some of the best songs they've ever written.
I understand what everybody dislikes about it, but I just don't understand why. Everybody loves Something To Write Home About so much, and that includes me, but it's mostly because it's such a nostalgic record. It's still really good, but everybody overrates it so much because of that.
Either way, TGUK were just an all-around good band, period.

I can agree with that. STWHA is my favorite album by them, but I love Guilt Show alot. It is a very catchy record, and there is nothing wrong with that.
And I've not heard On A Wire, it's the only album by them I don't have, I need to get that soon.

i actually really love on a wire but not so much guilt show
i've kinda though of something to write home about as a little overrated with most other tguk albums being underrated
i still love them all though

You know, I never gave Guilt Show a fair shot..in honor of this thread I plan to do so. On a wire was iffy..overdue was great, as well as fall from grace..but it was a letdown because it followed STWHA.
