Thought this was a pretty crazy story: http://twurl.nl/ohy7ft
Sad to hear, especially about someone so young, but that's probably one of the strange artists deaths I have ever heard of.

I heard this name from somewhere before but I can't recall.
And Cayotes...man.

That's very sad. This is apparently only the second death ever caused by a coyote attack.

Wow, this is different, but very sad.

I can't believe that it's only the second recorded death caused by a coyote. It makes the story even sadder because she was just going for hike because she had some spare time.

Holy shit, I was always under the impression that Coyotes feared humans...I'm going to be a lot more weary next time I run into them.

Sad story, hope her family can pull through

What the hell? Coyotes? Coyotes are tiny things. You go "Boo" and they run like hell. Weird.

I'm not trying to be disrespectful, this is a tragedy and my heart goes out to her family.

But how do you allow yourself to be killed by Coyotes? I really cannot fathom how that happens.

@bernie16wb you are caught walking in a park, a coyote bites your leg, you are disabled, and the coyotes basically eat you.

my comment:
thats just horrible. that might be one of the worst celebrity deaths ever, if not the worst.
and does anyone else find it inhumane that they shot a coyote for eating a "promising person", and yet they dont shoot humans if they eat a "promising cow for dinner"? call me a tree hugger, but i just think thats wrong

by the way, i'm canadian

Do you have any experience dealing with coyotes? Because they aren't exactly the most intimidating animal due to their size (while they do have respectable teeth) and because they run away from everything. I'd wager that if a coyote bit you and you so much as gave it an angry look for the deed it would run away and bring you back a band aid and a letter of apology.

You're insane. There's no way you can compare the value of a human life to the value of a cow's life.

ok then. i believe that cows are important to our food chain and all, but if a cow produced a lot of milk and makes a farmer rich, and a human kills it, they wont shoot the human. this coyote attacks a human, as part of its food chain. you dont just walk around murdering every coyote you see, unless you're insane.

I also agree you shouldn't just go shooting random coyotes. But since this one attacked a human, which by the way is not part of their food chain, I have no problem putting that individual coyote down.

key word: individual. not every one seen. that's what my point is.
