VERY tentative title. Anyways, it's been a while since I posted, so I thought I'd put Mercutio's newest song up. Hope you enjoy (it's still rough cut).
ps:If the verse seems "not-lyrical" it's because it's more of a spoken word verse. It's a super chill song. Think the last track on Mewithoutyou's new disk meets Glassjaws "Ape Dos Mil".
I like to sit with my hands folded, and watch the fake girls glow
I guess I want to steal their luminescence, and reinvent the firefly.
Can you blame me though? I just love them when their quiet...
Chorus: (I could help you melt them)
(We could make them bark like dogs)
I hate them when they tease the foreign boy, tossing their hair
side to side, like a broken ceiling fan, and giggle at his skin.
The only english the boy knows is "love" and "money"- so he chooses to love them.
(I could help you melt them)
(We could make them bark like dogs)
Must I paint you on my ceiling to make sure you stay the night?
Bridge:
I'm so so sorry dear, but when you lay naked and flayed open inside your
tanning bed; you are not at all like a pearl.
And I will open you up like a Jewlery box, over and over again; until
I find that shining little princess inside.
(And I will make you dance for me).
