This really is not a matter of preference. To call the record untitled is just wrong. If a record has a title, it clearly isn't untitled. This record has a title, namely "Blink-182". Now what would be a matter of preference would be whether you prefer to call the record "Blink-182" or simply refer to it as their self-titled record.

When you don't title an album, it becomes eponymous, not "untitled." That's just the way it works, regardless of whether Blink wanted it untitled or not.
