If you purchase In With The Out Crowd, the brand new album from Less Than Jake (http://www.lessthanjake.com), on iTunes (http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=153443589&s=143441), you will receive a special PDF art file, as well as an exclusive bonus track entitled "Even Trophy Boys and Girls Get The Blues".
Sing it with me,
I hate iTunes, Lalalalalala
...I have to return a video.

i use itunes
but buying digital music is pretty stupid
maybe for singles its ok, but not whole albums
why would people EVER want to miss out on the packaging and album art?
seriously.
why pay $10 for mp3s when you can pay $12 for the real thing

What I hate about iTunes is that it only offers 128kbps AAC files...uhh hello? Whatever happened to MP3? Maybe it's easier to DRM AAC files, but still...I'm just going to break that protection with a simple program, then transcode it to MP3.

well for us i-pod users, its easier to just get the music than have to buy the cd at the store, i'm not arguing that having the cd isnt cool, but i prefer to buy my music digitally upload my i-pod and go, thats me and my opinion, no need for bashing.

because it's sooooo hard to plop your new purchased CD into your computer and click the "import" icon.

anyone have the bside yet???
I hate it when bands do this - it's a total joke. They should put all tracks on the retal CD version of the CD, or expect the bonus tracks to be priated, because frankly fans aren't going to buy a whole CD again just for one 128kbps AAC B-Side, when they've already bought the $30 special edition.

i don't buy cd's anymore b/c I don't have a CD player. I live in ny and always use my ipod, so it saves time for me to just buy from itunes, and using those itunes exclusives entices people to buy via itunes that normally wouldn't.
i don't even really like less than jake

Way to flip out there, bud. And just so you know, I have an iPod and frankly, I say fuck the ITMS. I'd much, much rather just buy the CD.
1. So I have the CD
2. So I don't have to deal with DRM bullshit
3. So that I can rip it into whatever quality I desire

I hate these special privileges for iTunes buyers when I buy the actual cd. Very unfair I think.

agreed. i have a problem with purchasing digital music. if you purchase a cd, you can encode audio into any format/bitrate that you desire. for your casual ipod user, itunes probably works fine, but for any audiophile, this is unacceptable. the only thing that could have me reconsider purchasing music online is if you could obtain it in any format you'd like. (like i would consider purchasing digital music if i was able to download an uncompressed wave file.) however, when new CDs are released, you can generally get them for $10-12...about the same price as an itunes album, so why not just purchase the real thing?
also, i have a real problem with punishing those who purchase music by putting copy-protection on the files. it's like going to the movies and sitting through previews that include "don't download movies, it will put stuntmen out of work." all i'm saying is don't punish those who are being responsible consumers.
and fuck bands that release exclusive tracks online. nothing says "fuck you" to your fans quite like forcing them to purchase their music in the medium designated by the band. i love supporting bands like AFI and less than jake for the last 10 years, by purchasing all of their albums and going to see them live, then when i preorder their latest efforts i soon come to find out that there's still MORE tracks that can only be obtained online. i find that to be a huge slap in the face. but that's just my $0.02.
How about a free download of the album from iTunes comes with the purchased CD for those users who want to easily transfer 'em to their iPod/Zen/Shitfuck?
