If presented with the option in a public restroom, so you use the electric air drier, or the paper towels?
Note: Those air blade things fall under the first category.

As a sub-poll, you can say whether you prefer to spell it "drier" or "dryer."
You'll note I used both, which was entirely unintentional. I think I'm going to have an aneurysm.

Air driers suck when it comes to getting hands clean and dry.
Depends on if I'm in Japan or in the states. Japans got some legit hand dryers but if I'm in the states then its paper towels all the way.

I use paper towels, but if there is an air dryer I don't mind using it. What's an air blade?

air dryers dont get the job done, so paper towels.

I usually use the air dryer. If it's not automatic, I usually have to press the button twice to get sufficiently dry. When I use paper towels, I feel like I'm just using way too many.

Definitely paper towel. Unless there's one of those dyson ones in there, then that gets the job done sufficiently.

Neither, unless it's one of those crazy powerful air dryers. Then I use that because they feel awesome.

I always just use one paper towel. That's usually enough to get the job done without feeling wasteful. Electric dryers take forever to warm up and don't work as well.

i prefer paper towels, but will use air-driers for the whole save-the-planet thing.
but totally contradicting the save-the-planet thing is the fact that i wear latex gloves in public most of the time, so i'll just change gloves when i leave the restroom.

these are the only hand dryers that ever worked for me
I've only used them like 3 times though
paper towels, but not the kind that revolve and are cloth, those are gross.

I found very few air dryers that work well. The few that I did, phenomenal. But since they are far & few between, paper towels all the way. Then my pants.

the noise of the air dryers always scared me when I was little. I still dont use them to this day.
they never get my hands completely dry anyway.

I chose paper towel, but I do like those air blades. The only thing I don't like is when you splash water on your face and then realize that there are no paper towels to dry it off with.

They had this type of thing in my high school. They were really loud and really powerful. I wouldn't mind using this type of air dryer, they usually get the job done.

I pretty much always just wipe my hands on my pants. I have a thing about touching as few things in a public restroom as I possibly can.
I never knew people spelled dryer as drier before. Weird.

Both, without a doubt.
If there are no paper towels, I feel like I am drying the water and leftover feaces onto my hand.
If there is only paper towel, I feel like I am wiping away the feaces but replacing it with tiny specks of paper towel.
With both, I can wipe once with a towel to remove fecal matter, then air dry my hands to a comfortable temperate, whilst blowing away any leftover paper towel material.

There are a few spots in LA that have these hand dryers where you dip your hands in slowly and it just blasts them from all angles and then you bring them back up. They're fantastic.

Air dryers don't work as efficiently but I like to think me trying to avoid using paper when I can use an alternative helps out the environment... even if it's so amazingly miniscule.
