Whats up everyone. I'm a 22 year old vocalist/screamer/songwriter with several years experience looking to join a high enery established original project with some other professional minded musicians. I am currently involved in a project at the moment, but am always looking to play and practice as much as I can to continue to strengthen my voice. Who knows, if you have the right project I would consider leaving my options open. Here is my "resume" sort of speak. I have played a good portion of the small-medium sized venues in Denver and the surrounding areas. I have been in and out of bands, venues, and studios since high school. I have demos and media available of my work. My heart and soul rests with new-school hardcore music (ie metalcore/punk/emo/post-hardcore, etc) Such bands as Finest Hour, Atreyu, Thursday, As I Lay Dying, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Saosin, From First To Last, Underoath, Fear Before The March Of Flames (I have played with them before), Silverstein, Chiodos, Glasseater, Matchbook Romance, Norma Jean, Senses Fail, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Converge, Bullet For My Valentine, Endwell, Bleeding Through, Escape The Fate, Armor For Sleep, Thrice, Taking Back Sunday, Aiden, Unearth, Killswitch Engage, The Used, The Bled, Poison The Well, Snapcase, AFI, etc, etc. I do vocal excercises to keep my chords strong as I have the ability alternate between harmonic singing and screaming. I believe in having a mentality of "all or nothing" when it comes to playing live. I can't stand half ass stage presence or energy...thats why I play progressive hardcore music...fast, hard, brutal, and emotional. I have transportation and a very decent pa system. I also play drums, bass, and guitar so therefore can contribute ideas for song construction during the writing process, etc. I would prefer to play with people around my age and into the same types of music. I have decent reach with other bands, venues, contacts, etc due my past musical experiences here in Denver. As far as my writing process goes, I am varied in my subject matter and believe in a healthy balance of sing/scream vocal parts. As far as music goes, I believe in a dynamic balance as well of alternating between edgy and melodic parts...it adds a unique sound and tends to help avoid that "cookie cutter" sound that alot of bands this genre seem to have. Please don't misunderstand though, I am not into grindcore/deathcore/thrashy bullshit. Ultimately, I am wanting to take this all the way and make this a career. If I sound like I could compliment your project, please don't hesitate in responding to this. firstelite2002@yahoo.com Music is life, the rest is just details.
