I heard about them playing Format songs before the album came out, but I've only seen them once shortly after it did and they didn't play any then. I'm hoping they'll bring a few back for this tour or the one that's going on now.

It was on the Vedera myspace two days ago, but they took it down yesterday. They probably got yelled at for putting up the dates early lol. Sound Academy is awful. They always fuckup the lineup when it's cold outside. They'll let you wait inside this one area if you get their early so you don't freeze, but it also ends up putting you at the back of the line.
The sound there is alright though. I would've preferred The Phoenix for somewhere smaller, or The Guvernment/Kool Haus for somewhere of equal size.

The ticket ended up being about $32 after tickets.com fees and all that stuff. Little pricier than I had hoped, but still way cheaper than paying $47+fees to see JM open for Weezer.
Granted after gas and bridge toll at the Benicia bridge and parking and all that crap, it's probably going to end up being about the same drain on my bank account lol.

I had no idea fun was covering Radio Ga Ga. I hadn't heard that song in a long time and when they started playing it, it took me an embarrasingly long 8 seconds for me to realize what it was. When Nate said they were playing a cover song, I just naturally assumed it was a Format song.
Still they rocked the shit out of it. S'funny though, no one in the crowd knew what it was.

That worries me haha. I have a 6 hour drive to the show at The NorVa and we probably won't get there until very close to doors, unless I skip more of my classes that day, which is probably what I'll end up doing. But even if I only go to my 9am class [I have a test that day] and we leave at 10am, we'd still only get there about 2 hours before doors.

I know the fact that it was on a college campus definitely effected it, but I got to the venue for the Sacramento show an hour-and-a-half before doors and was the third one in the door, and right in front of Andrew during the set.

By "almost" getting Andrew to play Konstantine, do you mean you shouted it and he yelled at you to shut the fuck up?

I think it's absolutely obnoxious that everyone feels the need to shout out Soco songs. If he wants to play a soco song he will.

Well actually, I didn't suggest it at all, to be honest.
But a group of people were all yelling it. And he was like "it's not on the set list... and he turned to his band and was like guys you want to do it? Okay.." And he sat down at the piano and got quiet for like 10 seconds and then he was like no no guys, I can't do this, it's the wrong show.
That's all I meant by it, sorry. I'll just keep my experiences to myself now.

totally forgot jm's setlist. i know they opened with bruised and then the resolution and after that it's mostly a blur, but they played every song on the setlist posted above from dallas and for the encore they played swim then dark blue.

Just got back from the show, It was a fantastic evening! Lot's of fun and energy. I thought the place was more packed then I expected! Which I love because the Egyptian room is a large venue. Anyway, I didn't listen to Verdera. I tried but I just couldn't get into them. I bought my ticket for Girl Talk instead (shoot me if you must). I loved .fun though! They were so good! I absolutely had fun while listening to them. They sounded great and the crowd was getting into them which was awesome. Jack's Mannequin was great as usual, Andrew was really into the crowd jumping around loving every minute of it! I was pleased once again with their show!
Anyway here's the set list 100% in order:
I'm Ready
Bruised
The Resolution
Spinning
Annie Use Your Telescope
Crashin
The Mix Tape
Into the Airwaves
Hammers and Strings
Holiday From Real
Bloodshot
Lights and Buzz
Dark Blue
La La Lie
----Encore----
Swim (Music Box)
MFEO
I was really hoping for an American Love or Caves! But I was still happy with the set list
Great show!
EDIT: I'm really hoping I can go to the Something Corporate show at the Bamboozle Middle this spring!

Agreed on all points. Vedera was decent, but her voice was a little too much or me to handle. Egyptian Room was definitely more packed than I've ever seen it, and the crowd was loving both fun. and Jack's.
Oh and Andrew announced that he and Bobby (guitarist) are giving up music to become men's figure skating partners for the next Winter Olympics, haha.
Anyway, as much as I love the entire show, I had a couple of problems. One of the people behind me was "that guy" who kept yelling SoCo song titles; the chicks next to me complained for a half an hour about the tall dude in front of them; a few songs into Jack's, a drunk couple shoved their way through the crowd and ended up right in front of me, and commenced making out/necking/fondling/whatever. People were getting pissed, and eventually I said something to them. Unfortunately, that just made them feel the need to be more obnoxious and disgusting.
Regardless, it was a fantastic show.

Yeah the chick's voice was a little high pitched but they were okay. Jesus I couldn't believe how many drunk people were there, I felt bad for the people infront of me these two chicks were wasted and were talking to them through the whole show!

http://i48.tinypic.com/2vcffp5.jpg
Amazing show. My first time seeing fun. live and they completely blew me away. I can't complain about the setlist, only that I would have loved a longer one. I was also unimpressed by Vedera. Jack's was amazing, as usual. I was beyond excited to get to hear The Lights and Buzz live finally.
Did anyone else notice the outward facing mics up on stage during Jack's? Like they were recording the audience sound or something.
I know the security guards were looking for a sharpie to make the girls scribble out their shirts.
Anyone stay after the show to meet any of the bands? Dr. J was insane last night. He was worth quite a few laughs. I barley spotted Nate as he was trying to sneak by the Jack's bus and got him to sign my setlist and snap a quick photo.

The Toronto crowd was into it but overly pushy, I think this is the worst Jack's crowd I've ever been in and it was my tenth show. The guys were pervs too, they were whispering in girls ears trying to hook up with them and one guy tried to put his hand down my friends pants. Oh.

Thats lame. My crowd was not pushy at all. But It was easy to get to the front because not many people seemed to be engaged with the concert. Two of these guys kept giving Andrew the finger, until he called them out and said they were Fucking Assholes, then he pretended to flirt with them which made me LOL.
