haha fuck you guys, you've listed two bands in an entire subgenre appreciation thread. You fucking don't have a clue what you're talking about.

If you guys want to IM me I can chat you up about some good NYHC along the lines of Subzero, Breakdown and Killing Time.

although i will say there are still good bands comin outta nyc right now, which is honestly more than i can say about boston.

deathcycle
kill your idols (the island, but fuck it they still count)
murphys law is still around
everyday dollars
dominican day parade (are they still together... does anyone know?)
fvk (fuck it, better than any real band out right now anyway)

DDP have a show at Fontana's in NYC in July so I assume they are still alive and kicking.

I heard some tracks from their new album and was impressed. I should think about picking that up.

Set It Off is one of the most influential hardcore records of all time. If it wasn't for Madball, modern would be alot different.

On a side note, Leeway is pretty good too.

If it wasn't for Madball, there wouldn't be so many shitty Madball clones like Donnybrook.

Madball is cool, but they didn't influence any good bands. Also, I can't listen to a Madball record the entire way through... way too repetitive.

"Pretty good" and "Leeway" shouldn't be used in the same sentence. Leeway is incredible. Millions of times better than Madball.

Cutslikedrugs hooked me up with some SubZero and Killing Time today. They were really good.
