View Full Version : Brewers Pitching got my Brain Twitching

Brewers' Pitcher Chris Capuano (5-3 2.88era 64Ks) was a free agent in my fantasy league, and placing a pitcher on the DL let me sign another. I needed some innings pronto, so I decided to take a chance. My beloved Pirates have done well recently, but seeing the team they are, I thought it was about time for them to start losing again. I picked up Capuano cause I thought he'd do well. He gave up 6 runs in 6 innings and added nothing but negative points for this wees matchup against the division leader in my bracket.

Just as I thought I had a diamond in the rough this week, it's shot to hell.

I should of known better, but I guess I don't regret it, sometimes in Fantasy Baseball, you've gotta take chances.

Here's to recovery!

capuano won 20 games last year

the fact that he was a free agent basically tells me youre in a league with nothing but morons.

haha seriously.....here's a tip from an Angel fan....

Pick up Jered Weaver. He's Jeff Weaver's younger brother who was the number one overall pick a few years ago. He pitched 7 shutout innings against the Orioles in his MLB debut earlier this week. He starts tomorrow, so you might want to pick him up. Or wait and see how he does against the Indians. He could be the real deal.

i'm pretty sure he wasn't the #1 pick, but he was the angels top pick. I thought he fell to the teens because scott boras is his agent and teams don't like to work with him because he drives the price up so high. i could be wrong though.

but the kid will be a stud. it'll be funny when he's in the big leagues and jeff weaver gets sent to AAA.

You might be right. Either way, he's a stud. And I guess the rumor is that they won't demote Jeff as long as Jered is there because they don't want to make Jered mad.

he should be more mad at the fact that the angels suck.

He is a GREAT pitcher, that was his FIRST bad start al year.

I won't let them comeback. The AL West Coast has obviously failed thus far.

My league is strange, Chone Figgins from The Angels has been on seven different teams and I somehow found Brad Penny and Capuano as free agents.

There is 19 people in the league mind you.

Also, it's strange because a person in my league has 8 Astros on his roster.
