man i haven't listened to the cd w/ "Semi-Charmed Life" in like 5 years haha

what was that CD called?
It was self-titled, and you should listen again -- it's an amazing disc.

I love Blue, one of my favorite CD's, but get the version with the real Slow Motion. That song is awesome, some of the lyrics are just, "wow".

Yeah, I gush over TEB.

3eb is anything but awful live, their shows have been some of the best i've ever seen. jenkins is a lyrical genius, pete wentz could learn a thing or two from jenkins for sure. personally, i think "out of the vein" was a great album and i can't wait to see what they follow it up with!

really? "out of the vein" is my favorite 3EB record (followed extremely closely by their self-titled). i still listen to all of their records a healthy dosage even now. still one of my favorite bands. :)

Im suprised that so many people don't like Out of the Vein. It's easily their best album, get it and listen to it all the way through, you will be pleasantly suprised.

I saw them play with Eve 6 at Siena College. I think I was still in high school at the time. haha. I think it was that MTV Campus Invasion tour. One of the first ones.

Last time I saw 3EB was about 2 years ago, maybe 3. And they didn't play 'Semi-charmed...' which I was really bummed about. But they played everything else I wanted to hear and it was a great show aside from not playing that song.

I saw them about a month ago in PA, and "super amazing" definitely describes them. They played probably about 6 new songs, and they were all awesome. Go to www.3eb.co.uk (http://www.3eb.co.uk) for bootlegs of the past couple of shows. Pretty decent quality too.

Pretty much the whole "A-Side" of the CD was filled with radio singles which were very good, very catchy. The back half of the CD included more album material which was great but couldn't be radio singles based on radio format (less than 4 minutes, keep the listers attention, yadda yadda, reasons why I hate radio anyway). Personally, when you can string "The Background", "Motorcycle Drive-By", and "God of Wine" (all favorite tracks of mine) together to close out the CD, it's a near perfect way to end an album.

This is awesome to read news about 3EB, my favorite band by far, on AP.net - a website I check out everyday and never hear too much about them on. I definitely have been a fan of these guys since the self-titled was released. I've seen them 13 times and I have to say that they put on an amazing show. Stephan Jenkins is pretty much a solid frontman, but more importantly - a lyrical genius. I agree though, I'm more surprised to hear about this "Best of Collection" instead of something like the Black EP or Symphony of Decay EP that they have been talking about for the past few years. If you want to check some instrumental rock songs by these guys, their "Rock Opera" type stuff - check out "Animal" and "Knife in the Water." Great stuff, great band. Random facts: Brad Hargreaves (3EB drummer) used to drum for Counting Crows back in the day and Stephan Jenkins used to be in a hip hop duo called "Puck & Natty." Natty looked like Seal (the singer). Download "I Just Wanna Be Your Friend." You'll pretty much piss yourself laughing at the cheesiness.

Oh, and all their CD's have some great songs on it. I consider Out of the Vein to be their most cohesive, and I have a few favorites from each CD although I like every song from each CD. Anyone else with me on this?

Third Eye Blind is my third favorite band of all time and I'm thrilled for a fourth album. The DVD will be cool for the Best Of and hopefully they do include God of Wine and/or Motorcycle Drive By for people who had problems getting stuck on the first half of the album. Wounded is a must as well.

as much as i absolutely love every 3EB song/album. out of the vein is by far my favorite. howcome the majority writes that one off? i could see how the s/t holds a special place in their hearts i guess, but out of the vein is just a superb record. it's a shame a lot of people will never think of them as more than just a 90's trend. stephan is quite a songwriter

their self titled cd was the third cd i ever owned. They were the ones that got me into playing music in the first place. I remember when I first heard them - I was ten, and I was driving in a shitty sky blue jeep cherokee with my friend zach (who now plays guitar in the new tragic) and his mom was scanning the radio stations and "semi-charmed life" came on, and we turned it up. and it was good.

that was the moment that I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

one of the best bands ever.
