I hope this turns out well, but a lot of times funny comedians don't have great shows. I never watched a ton of either, but I remember not being too crazy about Demetri Martin or Daniel Tosh's shows.

Tosh.O is terrible, but Jeff Dunhams show is much worse. Also, while this wasnt on Comedy Central, Frank Caliendos show was pretty bad too. I really hope this show doesnt turn out to be terrible because I like Nick as a stand up comedian and as an actor.

i'll have to wait and see on this one. i feel like he's been funny in a lot of things, but that may be because i've only seen him in small doses. he was great in grandma's boy, but he was basically a sidekick. and his stand-up (recent comedy central thing) was OK, but nothing i felt was too special. i'm not sure how well i would like him on his own deal, but then again, who knows.

Wow it's been how many years and Comedy Central is still searching for it's next Chappelles Show? You would think they would have learned by now with all these other awful shit shows like Important Things, Tosh.0, Mind of Mencia, Jeff Dunhams Shitfest Cocksuck Hour, and whatever else they will give any 3rd rate shit comic that Comedy Central thinks/hopes holds a candle to what Dave Chappelle brought to that company/channel.

Chappelle Show is a pioneering show of our generation, one of a kind, and something that will never or rarely come around again. Comedy Central has no one else to blame but themselves and they will keep greenlighting garbage to find the replacement. This is just another show to file in the trash bin, you don't even have to watch it to know it's going to be exactly like all the other Comic-turned-Comedy Central Series junk they have running through their calendar.

Oh my god. That's fucking hilarious. Seriously, just looking at a cat in a wheelchair is killing me. I don't know how the show as a whole will do though.

EDIT: Wow. Sketch is awful. Would've been funnier if it was just 3 minutes of a cat riding around doing stuff in a wheelchair.

not saying it's replacing Chappelle Show because that is damn near impossible, but Tosh.0 is getting some pretty damn good ratings, better than Daily Show and Colbert Report actually.

I don't see how he's "trying to be different," it's the same type of thing he's been doing for like 10+years that combines saying one-liners and music. It's just his style and clearly one that's worked for him.

Yes and no gangster movie has reached the heights of "The Godfather," yet they still keep making them and some have been pretty great. Why does every comedy show have to aspire to be "Chappelle's Show"? Any comedian in their right mind would know that expecting to be received as well as that would just be a setup for failure.

I liked the episode where they were buying weed for Beiderman's birthday and Michael Ian Black kept getting arrested because he went to the obvious undercover cops. The scene at the end where the other Michael kept telling different stories for the reasons he was gone I almost died laughing.

I was sad it got cancelled.

There will never be a sketch-comedy show that can hold a candle to the Chappelle Show. I like Nick Swardson, but he just wasnt very funny in this.

Ehhh...I love "Stella" and while I think the show is in the wheelhouse of CC classics like "Chappelle's Show" and "Daily Show," it was never going to get a wide audience. They gave Showalter and Ian Black a second shot and it just wasn't good.

The old online sketches though - pure gold.

I disagree about MMHI, I actually really liked it, but I can see why it got cancelled. After rewatching Stella, I definitely feel like it should have got a shot at a second season. And yeah, those online slits are fucking hilarious.
